CloseRunic, can you put up a non-rtp version here on RMN? I'd like to play this, but 240 Mb when most of it is the RTP as per the contest rules is just a waste of bandwidth...actually I grabbed he full one, so no stress about that.
Also if you don't put up a link to a download in the download tab, not the summary (it can be an outside link, not just one hosted here) no one can review your game. The system won't allow a review submission without a linked download.

No problem and since I grabbed the rtp version so I could start playing (the 7th is creeping up and I need to play to vote) I won't know if you removed something you shouldn't, but trust me if you did, someone here will politely let you know, you've already got a couple of downloads registered.

the background is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. i cant believe how well the background worked! not really perfect, (battle scene's scene doesnt seem to fit right with me) but if just playing it for the sake of playing and not looking too closely, graphic wise its perfect.
i just have a problem with the "clues" bit, i know its hard to make dialog for misleading things like detective work, but still.
also the main character's "story" is something i find kinda funny (a good kind of funny) because of the being sent to a remote village to investigate a "possible sighting" thing.
EDIT: oh and about that old man... i wasnt able to kill the chimera since being solo and all, potion-ing was kinda a pain so maybe a small tweak on hp? (but if you intentionally did it so that you'd HAVE to grind a bit, its fine, i actually love games that needs a bit of grinding on the side)

It was super tough with the clues, since what makes sense to me is totally nonsensical for some people.
Yeah, I was planning on the chimera boss being a little bit of a grind since he's a side quest. You need Fire II, I do believe, to be able to kill him, otherwise he just laughs at you.

I like the setting. It reminds me of Twin Peaks. Mysterious happenings in remote settlement in middle of forests. Only lacks Elven Badalamenti.
Where the heck do I get the tomatoes?
Need fur coat for the old man.
Need axe to continue in forest.
Figuring they are all a string of events where one thing will get you the next.
Animal in the woods only out at night but it's always daytime?

Anyway, the fur coat is more of a side quest, not completely vital to the plot. The tomatoes are in the one of the stores...

This was a enjoyable experience. i liked the scenario,mapping,the choices,on screen battles and your lead character.
i felt the plot could of had a little more to it tho.the battles them self were simple which i like also that you do not have a lot of skills.
and i was extremely surprised to see no grammar mistakes! which is very rare.
Overall
it was a fun experience i recommend this.
really nice start! good mapping,on screen encounters,beautiful character art and a interesting world
hopefully it can keep this!
i am glad there are some nice people. you can only handle so much of every person treating you like trash. for no reason even.
tho this village should burn to the ground after what they did
i dont get why the girl is happy your you are not reporting the act of evil the village committed...that's even her friend/sister >.> they should be punished and their actions were not even warranted! the dragon didn't do anything!
killing the chimera for a direstone amulet that you can buy in the store is really disappointing.
that thing had a lot of life :O and i am a mage it would be something that increases all stats or magic! something different then what the shops have :3
maybe i forgot something but what was the point of deactivating the crystal?
i felt a bit unsatisfied with the end as we didn't even tell the girl that we said we would help that the job was done. tho i am sure that happened off screen.was it so dragons would not come toward it anymore?
also i was a bit curious on where she was in the future as that was the initial point of her telling the story
or is that girls family that left okay?
i am disappointed with the ending. i don't want to save that village.could at least execute the people responsible for that atrocity.

Couldn't finish this. Even grinding to level 9 wasnt enough to defeat the boss for some reason. He's not particularly difficult, he just has too much HP that makes the battle very long even if I did have enough potions. Mapping was decent.
