Aesparia - The Fallen and the IGMC 2014 contest

Aesparia! My pride and joy.

I was happy to create and release a prologue of this game, and have everyone play it. It's a devastating and crippling fear to put your baby that you've put so much time into out in the world, especially if it may be torn apart.

Throughout all the sites, I've heard everyone loud and clear.

Aesparia - The Fallen was a decent game. And that is not a bad feat. But I don't want decent, or good. I want it to be great. I want something fun and engaging. And that's going to take some improvement. Because of that, I was slightly ashamed and hid the game until some improvements were made. However, I decided it was probably better just to leave this out here for those that would like to try and give it a go. I hope in the end it'll be something better, but for now, here's what it is.

I was very happy to get this feedback (although it hurt at times). These are things I can take into the core of Aesparia and the main game as well. This, after all, was only meant to be a prologue. I plan on releasing a new game page in the future for the main game, with the improvements made.

Here are some ideas floating around:
Difficulty increase (since full heal after every combat)
Some quick battles that may require some engagement, but enough to keep your attention
Longer battles like that of the prologue will still be present. If you fight again, conditions may change (like timers or enemy difficulty/change)
Full Crafting to have the items you create mean something
Unique loot for completing all battles (Flavor equipment/spells and additional challenge boss battles)
Better writing and character development.

Currently working with a writing consultant for the story and character development to improve.

As for a 're-release' of this prologue chapter, that would happen later down the road, if at all. My focus is on the game, and not on a demo. However, if there is a moment where I can do so freely, I may do so. I have not decided as of yet.

For those that have played Aesparia, thank you for spending your time doing so. And more improvements are coming in the future!
