This is the cutest thing ever. At first I thought that was a little bowtie though :3 but it's still cute without a blue bowtie!

Indeed! It's arms are in a position like it's giving off a prayer or something.

And I was just about to lament on how nobody likes the water starter.

I have to say I enjoy all starters! They all look so cute in their basic form and bad ass in their final evolution.

I'll probably go with Fire though.

(...and now, back into the shadows...)
Why are their never any Ghost starters........

Why are their never any Ghost starters........

The starter type combos of this game are all new, when comparing it to the official games at least. They're Grass/Steel, Fire/Dark, and Water/Fairy.

I also say from a design perspective, Ghost has some VERY good immunities that actually matter during the early stages of the game, since the weaker moves most Pokemon learn are normal type attacks. As a result, the player or the AI would be lacking in options to deal with these types at the start, which creates balancing problems. Also, Ghost by itself doesn't have many weaknesses, with Dark types being the really only suitable pair to a ghost starter, but then Ghost is only super-effective against itself and psychics, neither of which does jack to Dark, so... It just doesn't work. xD
