A battle theme I composed for Pokémon RMN!

Hey, this is some pretty good stuff there, Miracle! It almost has sort of an Egyptian / FF5 sort of vibe to it. This song may not be as bouncy as some of the other Pokemon Trainer battle themes that I’ve heard in the past, but it definitely works well for the situation given and it almost seems to sound a lot better over time the more that you listen to it. (I think I’ve must have listened to this for around 10 minutes now. I think it’s starting to grow on me.)

Good job on this one. It’s nice to see that this game is coming together very well.

I would have more makerscore If I did things.

Sounds like a great Gym Leader battle theme! Very cool indeed, but which will it be used for? Regular trainer battle? Gym Leader? Rival Battle? I feel like it could work for most of those!

I need to know!!!!
@ Addit - thanks man xD maybe it's just me but it seems like pokemon's music is getting a little more sophisticated/mature each game, like X/Y's gym leader theme. Each game has it's own musical mood

@ Seiromem - it's the battle theme for a particular trainer
Hmm, at first it felt kinda flat, but like Addit as I listen to it it starts to grow on me. I think those deep bells sound a little off, though. Almost like it's slightly out of tune. When it builds, then quiets off with the drums and only a single instrument, that feels kinda...shallow/empty? I get the progression you were going for but that really sticks out to me.

Better than anything I can compose.

Like it, that's totally a pokémon series battle music! :)

I think you should re-balance the volume, though.
@link - yeah I get what you mean. Maybe I can bring in a couple instruments earlier instead of a bunch all at once. Thanks man! :)

@iddalai - for some reason no matter how high I turn up the volume, I just can't hear the French Horn Dx If I come back to this I might switch the melody over to the trumpet instead. In the midi version I could hear the strings a lot more too. I had to convert the original to an MP3 to upload it to YouTube, I think the soundfont messed the balance up. thanks for the comment <(^.^<)

No prob! (>^.^)>

I don't know what program you're using to convert the midi, but you can try this: http://solmire.com/

And use the Saphyr 2000 soundfont.
Oooooh @.@

That site's cool! I was able to make the horn louder, and I think that helped the 'empty' part that link mentioned. The Saphyr 2000 is super close to the midi so I'll leave a link to it here in case anyone's interested.

I updated the original video, now with 200% more tomamer!

Sounds great! :D

"Saphyr 2000" is usually really close to the midi original, that's why I mentioned it ;)

I also use "SGM V2.01 (Default)" and "EAWPats" (my favorite) a lot, but these change the sound a bit (with diverse outcomes), specially "EAWPats" (that's why I like it!), sometimes I split midis into tracks and use different soundfonts for each track to get the best of each worlds.

BTW, that audiophile Tomamer looks awesome!
