Yeah! It's as close as can be, just about! XD Now I'm off to pass out before work tomorrow. Hope the game works alright! I'm always nervous when it comes to RPG Maker 2000/2003 games working.

EDIT: I already noticed some errors with this one and have updated the download again to version 1.2 >.<;;

This game is awesome! What are you so nervous about? I'm loving the retro gaming soundtrack.

Well this solves the problem of which game on the list comes next.

I'm ignoring the list! List, what list? I have no list.

Also I really didn't take into account he number of 'oooh, they chose to bring that one back, I'll have to play it and see why' moments I would be getting over the RtD entries.

I am loving this. By the way Unity, you should know that when you get into the desert after rescuing King Aeon, you have no combat music.

Oh, thanks! I'll fix that! I originally had a lot more battle tracks so when I removed some it made some problems. Thanks for the head's up :DD

Wow! Thanks a bunch! I hope it lives up to expectations! I'll be making a post soon about making the revived version and all that XD

EDIT: @pianotm: While I couldn't find the offending piece of eventing that turned the music off, I did set the game to put it back on when you leave Erivain Castle. I've uploaded the fixed version, though if you keep playing on the version you already have, the game should fix the music itself when you reach the king's checkpoint to the east. Thanks again ^_^

I'm curious: roughly how long is this game? I don't know whether to give you a stream of consciousness as I go along or wait until I'm done to give feedback.

... Assuming feedback would be useful to you. This is a rather old game and, considering your other games, you have learned quite a bit since then.

Seeing as 2k doesn't have a built-in timer, I'm afraid I don't have a time estimate on how long it is, but it's pretty long, and very well may be the longest game I will ever release.

I'm working on a blog post detailing a lot of what I feel are the games shortcomings, and what I would have done differently if I had made it from scratch.

That said, feedback is always appreciated, but just keep in mind that the bulk of the content was done twelve years ago when I was still getting my feet wet with RPG-Making and is pretty darn sloppy in a lot of areas XD

I'm having some font issues. Not sure if I need to install a specific font or not, but this is what my screen looks like:

I'm sorry, what did you say, Vittoria? Or what is Villoria? I can't tell.

I've never touched 2k, so I have no clue what's going on or how to fix it.

EDIT:

I'll wait for your blog post then before giving feedback so I'll know what to avoid!

That's a common problem with 2k/2k3 games. I was hoping to make an installer that installed the font automatically, but doing so proved a little beyond my capabilities.

The error is fixed easily though, luckily. Go to the Chase for Divinity folder, and inside find a folder called rm2k_fonts. Install the fonts onto your computer and it should play fine.

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience! ^_^

Works perfectly! Thanks!

Suggestion: Perhaps include a readme or some form of warning that these fonts need to be installed first so others like me aren't confused.

Good idea! I'll add it to the update and also include that information in the first blog! :D

EDIT: Also, I find that the game plays a lot smoother in windowed mode, but it looks like you're playing it that way already, so it's all cool ^_^

A few off-hand notes after about an hour's worth of gameplay:

This is the first time I've come across the "<filename>.mp3.wav" technique in regards to music files. I'm surprised it works, to be honest. I guess I shouldn't complain, though!

The "Men of the Sea" routine looses something without the camera angles. Could be just me.

It was done using the Disharmony Audio patch. I'm not sure it'll work like that on its own :P

True, but I wanted to stick that reference in there when I first made it. XD
