So I played the game up until it suddenly crashed. I was reentering the castle after visiting the town and it stopped working. I probably spent a total of 30 minutes in the game, and from what I played, I do think you have a lot of potential here. Unfortunately, there are a few issues...
First, there is a lot of open space within your maps. Detail is always good, so strive to make your rooms smaller and more detailed in the future (if you want your mapping to be a priority).
Second, the grammar isn't bad, but some mistakes are noticeable to the point where it takes away from the dialogue, which is unfortunate because the writing is actually pretty good. It's fluid, quick, and it really does feel like the main protagonist is from a different world. With that said, I think if you just got someone to proofread your work, you could fix the majority of these mistakes yourself.
Graphically, the faces are great and the Princess's combat sprite is pretty darn cute. The chibi-style sprites and mapping just adds to the overall cuteness of the game, so good job there.
Now I'm going to go load an earlier save and try to avoid that crash this time. Good luck going forward!
