Young horror novelist Gill O'Teen retreats to a cozy mansion to write his final novel. He awakes in one of the rooms to find his novel finished but with no memory of the week he spent there writing it. He must now locate the manuscripts of his novel while piecing together the mystery surrounding the mansion. All the while being hunted by the unseen terror called the "Judge".
This is a horror game, there is more mystery than scares, and some scenes that could be considered unsettling. There is no fighting, all the player can do is block doors or run away.

Do you mean the Secret Window, nhubi?

Yes! Thank you so much. I kept seeing Skeet Ulrich but it was Johnny Depp.
could somebody message me on how to get the second ending? I would really appreciate it. I really like this game but I just can't figure out the second ending >.<
Hello, Huyosumi. Great game ^^
You said something about a true ending.
How can I achieve this, and get the 9th page?

Ah, and I liked the style you used for the illustrations,
it's the first time I saw something like that ;)

All said, I wish you the best :D
I really enjoy this game, but it only have 1 ending?
Just where is the Master Bedroom... I searched for hours, I still have the key, but I simply just cannot find that room... How do I find it? I am really curious to know the True/Second Ending...

Oh dear! The master bedroom? It's on the second floor all the way to the left and then the door below you. Let me know if you're still having problem. I'm sorry that you spent hours looking for it. Now that I think about it, I may have forgot to take the Master Key out of the inventory after its used so you MAY have already been in it. The Master bedroom has those two ghost people on the bed.

I see, its alright, I get it. But how to get the second ending? That also, i spend hours to figure out but couldn't yet. Maybe you can hint me on it
I have trouble getting the second ending as well

apparantly, there is only one book left since you get the last one during/after the ending .. but even when I go back all that changes is that the room is now full of ghosts which whom I cannot interact. Everything else is the same.

Still, very beautiful game and I'd love to write a review. The accompanying books are wonderful additions and the whole atmosphere is gorgeus. Sure, not really scary, but that is not what this is all about anyway.
I really dig the artstyle - it has a very nice feeling to it. It roughly depicts the gruesome scenes without getting too gory or too precise. They work better than detailed ones

There are quite a few typos, not sure whether I caught all, but here a few:

meant

its toll (the first comma is odd, but you technically can use it stylistically)

its

I think you mean accrued, denied

dread

its cover

If you're having trouble sleeping

@Flame7: Have you read Gill's works?
Fun game, I don't have the time to finish it though :( So much work, can someone please explain the ending to me I'm really curious, also why is it called 5 little lights?
Great game with a neat atmosphere. I like that you rely more on a sense of mystery and dread than on jumpscares or gore, and the cartoony style of the illustrations makes it even more unsettling. Cannot figure out that second ending to save my life, though...

thoughts on game short

This was a pretty good experience but not w/o its flaws some of which ill mention at the end.
with 2 possible endings and a interesting plot setup.
this is bound to be a great game right?
well no. mind you great is above good which is where id put this.
the reason behind that is the story but ya ill get to that in a lil

it did not really have jumpscares i guess this would fall into the class of psychological horror
sorry but Ho games don't really cater to me not sure :3

there is no battles and surprisingly very little way to actually die

Closing
so would i recommend this?
im the type of person who is not fond at all when it comes to overly dark stuff
when its too descriptive like corpse party.
or when rape, torture or slavery are in a game its a huge turn off for me.
but it wasn't too bad in this if you don't actually think about it.
so yes for a creepy/dark game id recommend this.
it stayed behind the line.

Problems includes spoilers

Candles
it IS actually possible to screw yourself over with lighting the candles.
if you don't light the top left room on the second fl 1st nd get thsoe extra 5 matches your hit
say for w/e reason you did the main 2nd hall and the master bedroom. you would have no way to continue the game.

character
did no one find it odd he doesn't react to talking with ghosts who are kind of...surrounded in blood...
i get that he does not recognize them because of amnesia but this was baffling to me.
same with the line about going back in a room to get a script after seeing what he has when GTFO should eb his number 1 priority unless explained otherwise

plot/the 3 kids/where you were
now i could be wrong here so take this as you see fit.
because i don't have all the events in front of me to be accurate
but in the ending where you hang yourself
she did say something about it having been a week i believe? since either you or those 3 kids have come here.
im so confused on this because there she insinuates she brought the kids for you...while the girls diary not only said otherwise....but you weren't mentioned in it AND you were not even there!
i men she ran away from home and you and your friend ran her down.
maybe im misinterpreting something here

newspapers
how is there news paper articles if they were abducted at X time and killed within the past week?
noone should know where they are right?
there was no sign the cops locked it down and the girls note said "they looked frightened" which would contradicts a argument that its a orphanage that's why they are there. at least i think so especially adding the older sisters personality and what she said in her ending

i think that's it for my major concerns
Started a let's play of it.

I have no idea what I'm doing and judge judy is mad. D=

Edit: I just finished for anyone still curious and I know I didn't get everything. I might go back and try to get all the stuff as a walkthrough for others who need it. Not tonight though....I'm a zombie right now. D=

Actually LOLing, thank you very much! Aww come on being a writer is FUN, as long as you aren't being haunted by ghost kids.
Cute game, would've really liked original sprites and character portraits just for the extra feel of the game itself, but other than that very very nice job

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind for the next one, I wanted to do that originally but I rushed a bit. Glad you had fun, Thanks for playing it!
I just want to say, to EVERYONE, THANK YOU, thank you for playing my game, thank you for helping me fix my mistakes, thank you for bearing with the FACT that this game was rushed, thank you for the reviews, the downloads, the kind words, the playthroughs, the critiques. This game was a lot of fun to make but seeing everyone's reaction has made me feel all warm and bubbly. I really didn't think it would do as well as it has, I'm really surprised and truly humbled. Thank you guys, thank you.

Juego roto.

NO.
