The DreamScape, an alternate world traversed by the slumbering and filled with unlimited happiness and creativity. All of those who dream travel here, except one man. Angered by his dreamless dilemma, he set off on a quest to destroy the DreamScape and restful nights forever! This man became known as The Mare.

Very close to completing his goal, the Dream Guardians, under the command of the Sister Spirits vanquished The Mare and placed him in an eternal sleep. For centuries after, people once more slumbered in peace and this story soon became legend.

However, the legend tells of a child, born with dreams but would soon loose the ability to remember them. This milestone in the child's life would spur the awakening of The Mare and the bringing of the NightScape, the place of nightmares.

It would then be up to this child and the help of three others to travel to the DreamScape and defeat The Mare once and for all!

Re-Vamp Progress 01

I have successfully completed the WHOLE story for Savior of the DreamScape. I consider this a major milestone because the first iteration of this game, I was just making things up as I went along and that resulted in hella plot holes. The new story has very small ones that I can fix pretty easily if I wanna make the game truly awesome. Still debating that because that means making more sprites. Lol
Speaking of sprites, I have completed all the sprites for the main four characters. Now, I have to make about 10+ more sprites for the secondary characters.
*dies*

I'm thinking of holding off on started the new maps until I get all of the sprites and bust shots done.
*dies again*

Well I'll give this a go, how long is the current demo version?

Ok some initial thoughts;

Some of your text runs over the message boxes. It doesn't happen that often but at least three instances were in the first scene after he leaves the tent to meet Shiba, talking to Betsy in the shop and talking to the priest in the temple.

Put some thought into your houses, all of them are exactly the same rectangular shape on the outside with no windows anywhere. Personally I would hate to live in that village you get no natural light inside. Given the design all of the house would be black as pitch on the inside. Also there is a house that has a father and daughter living in it and one double bed to sleep in, you may want to rethink that arrangement. Actually that thing about the house applies to everything in the village, the Inn, the shops, all of them are just windowless boxes.

Your music level fluctuates from the inside of the house to the outside. It's louder outside the houses. Unless the background music is actually being played by a group of invisible musicians on the village green this shouldn't be happening.

Your quest indicators don't work properly. The ? above someone head indicating they have a quest does, but the quest objects indicator fluctuates, it only becomes active when you talk to them, until then you have no idea who they are.

Is the village called Sanyangkkun or Sanyangteo because they get used interchangeably?

The signs to the temple and the forest don't need directions on them it's the only way to go along the path.

OK I'll play a little longer and see if anything else comes up, but really need to look at that house/village design.
nhubi pretty much summed up all of my thoughts.
However, there is a missing file error: Audio/BGM/Spring Breeze
in the Sanyangteo Forest, before you progress to the next area,
and I cannot progress any further.

I was just about to report that CalmOne, nice catch.

Also in the dialogue with the priest he says hopefull with two 'l's'
Thank you guys for taking the time to point out the errors in my game. I was going through and deleting files that didn't need to be included an accidentally deleted one that was actually needed.

And for clarification, Sanyangteo is the name of the forest.
Sanyangkkun is the name of the village. None of the Beta Testers mentioned it, but I'll go through the dialog and clear some stuff up.

MaKayla are you of Korean heritage? The sanyang prefix is one I've seen with people of that nationality and I was just wondering.
I'm not actually. I just really like the language and culture. I'm currently taking it as a class in school right now
