Not 100% accurate to the original! Actually probably not even 50% accurate mechanic-wise. Hahah. But well, I suppose it's playable!

Changelog:

PLANNED FOR 0.6 AND 0.7
- reworked skills system for the Espers. Skills will be earned depending on the enemy party and weapon equipped.
- Rods and Staffs to give bonus to casters.
- Reworked Meats system, less linear and more varied!
(I need to study a little RGSS for this though. I want to use scripted conditional commands to avoid creating 200+ commands event pages... I mean, we`re not using RM2K, are we?)
- Loot for all monsters! As a side effect, less gold from the monsters!
- Inventory limit!
- New, exciting items!

0.5.2
- Fixed a few bugs.
- Created battle items and set them as drops for enemies. Now most enemies have 2 or 3 item drops with diverse battle effects! the drop rate is really low, though.

0.5.1
- ~2.5x more maps in comparison to the last version!
- Redrawn enemy graphics for Base World!
- Rebalanced skills
- Reviving cost diminished by a static 40G.
- New graphic effects, such as Mode7, map effects and a nice battle transition!
- System graphics and sound overhaul! Sounds 100% more Final Fantasy. (SaGa fans can shoot me now. *gasp*)
- 4 secret bosses! 3 secret unlockable items that confer abilities!
- One very small bonus dungeon.
- Bestiary!
- Added teleport items and call shop items! They are very expensive though.
- Skill descriptions!
- 2 new FFL songs.

0.4
- you can create your own party, now! Inns don't revive anymore!
- Houses of Life charge five times your MaxHP to Revive you. Better avoid dying now! Or else, you'll have to reset your character, if you don't have the money!

0.3
-added item instance scripts
-added item suf/prefixes
-rebalanced enemies, harder
-nerfed espers/mutants
-added an actor inventory. now you got to pick between bringing items to battle, or equipping yourself. Just like the original game.

0.2
-Fixed a game-freezing bug for mixing parallax files.
-Increased Magic Defense of all enemies to nerf the Mutants.
-Fixed game-sequence bugs by preventing the pl

Just fixed the heal bug (and I'm uploading the fixed version, poor be RMN's servers) but... this crash isn`t happening here o.o
RMVXA`s been running rather oddly, lately... Hasn`t it? >_______>
Basically it crashes for you after every battle? x_x that's so strange, I'll try to see if it happens on my brother's computer D:

Is it just a freeze or is there a message?
game exe had to close...the game doesnt freeze...it stops and this message appears.

Im betting my save file isnt going to work....ah well.

Let me/us know when we can dl the newest
I'm uploading a bugfixed version, should be up in 10 min >.>
Well, are you trying to use an old savefile, from 0.4? If so, it will probably be incompatible. >= Try starting a brand new game and checking if this actually happens! >.<
Ive learnede my lesson from before about using the SF...This is a new game. Anyway....waiting. Thanks.
You had said the amount cgarged at an Inn depends how much you needed to restore your party. What if you have enough MP to heal your party but are then empty. Since you are restored will you then pay less to restore completely or it still charges more or less depending on if it needs to refill MP as well?

I chose to have 2 monsters. If I use a meat on each will they have the same results or will they differ?

I am still getting used to seeing level 1 no matter how long the game is played. Its weird...maybe you might just remove level indicators since they arent used.

It doesn't account for MP when calculating the Inn cost! And for pure HP healing, potions are technically more cost-efficient than sleeping at an inn. I might rebalance that in later versions, it's something that was kept intact from the original game.

The results will be the same. The monsters work the same way as they did in the previous version, in this demo. Reason is: I don't have the knowledge I need to code the monster system the way I want to. I need to do some research.

You got a point! It should be easy to remove it from the menus. I'll try to spot it in the game's code. I was in fact thinking about this.
I don't know how this happened, but I'm experiencing Infinite Growth :'D!

First of all, all things described here are with GIRL 1. I let BOY 1 die after some encounters (I always start with a girl in FFL because of Rapier, and it's a personal rule! -?-).

I used some Strenght Potions, all fine (although I had to exit the menu each time I used one, but anyway). Then I tried using one Strenght Potion and one Agile Potion, to try and speed things up a little. Agility is now sky-high, it never stopped growing.

Same happens with my HP. The HP200 potion works as it should, giving me 40HP each. But then I tried using a Red Meat in GIRL1, and each -time measure- it gets a boost on its HP. Something like 13-17 or so.

The rest of it, it's pretty good. It actually feels kind of hard. The Gold Wings can be sold for extra money, but let's be frank, it saves some grinding! I can't imagine what will later *shrudders*. All the grinding I always do before SeiRyu because of stun and one-gal army.

So yeah, it's FUN! But there is that, bugs with these potions, and the red meat.

EDIT: Ah! Another thing! At the INN, please don't charge me the cost of repairing dead guys! They're dead, they can't be repaired! (healed).
EDIT2: Iesus, Rapier is dealing 600+ dmg due to my agility!

I'll add gender options and functions in a future version! I just didn't because I didn't want to run out of RTP characters hahah

Bug fixed! The common event was removing the strength-associated tag state. Not the agility one. So it never stopped running. >_>

Similar, although different problem. I set Humans' and Espers' state rate to 0%, in relation to the tag states that triggered the HP+ function. It should be State Resist. S. Rate = resistance, S. Resist = immunity. Yeah, dumb.

Those Gold Wings are another bug HAHAHAH I've removed 'em RIGHT NOW. You're not supposed to have that much money. e_e
or else your mutants'll be like, extra weak! And I like it hard. 8D Heheh, I guess it shows. Though my initial "stick to the original numbers"-ness has made the game quite unbalanced. and the enemies, a tad uninteresting. And one gal armies FTW! YRP, in position!

Fixed! But now it charges for MP. So much for such a big overhaul.

thank goodness rmvxa's got default limits, I wouldn't like to see you with over 100,000,000 agility

EDIT: Byyyyy theee wayyyy I'm uploading a bugfixed version. hah it just finished. You can download it if you want >.>
Another issue. I have the Black Sphere, but it doesn't seems to work. I try to use it at the Tower of Paradise entrance, it opens up a window to use something (ala-FF3), but I can't use the Black Sphere there. And I can't use it on the menu either. So... what other options do I have?

EDIT: And another thing! Do characters ever run out of "hearts"? I don't know where to look at that. And nice screaming lol!
EDIT2: Something else I forgot to mention. I have Black Sphere, King's Armor AND King's Shield. At the time I activated the event, one of my characters had King's Armor equipped. But that still doesn't explains why King's Shield is there (I never ever ever ever use Shields in this).
You should try to change the game a bit more, you know , to make it more original and not a simple remake, if I wanted to play FFL, I would play the original...

Good luck with the game

I'm uploading another fixed version hahahah! ^^' now it'll check if you have it in the inventory, you won't have to input. buttttttttttt if you don't feel like DLing again, just go to the door event and take the teleport from inside the conditional branch! :D

Haven't implemented that, and I think I probably won't. I've made the game quite a bit harder, I think porting over the hearts mechanic would be too mean of me.

I'm focusing on changing the gameplay mechanics, which are in fact quite a lot different! ^.^
And I've changed quite a lot of other things too, though you'd have to play to find :~ (and some'o them are welllll hidden)
Damn....I sure hate having to go back and make a new character whenever one dies. Youre saying the original FF did this?
Y-you don't have to! You can revive him/her! Just talk to the monster outside the tower, in the upper part of the map in Base Town, or in the house of healing in any other town >.<

If you can't spot the monster who revives, go to Hero Town. The house who was once empty now is place to the new person in charge of reviving you.
In the original FFLegends (don't forget that beautiful last word ;o), your characters died like in any other RPG. The issue was that, they had a limited number of lives, so to speak. This feature is pretty common in SaGa titles actually.

In this FFL however, JosephSeraph hasn't implemented that thing, so you can revive your peeps indefinitely <3.

Would it be good to implement the possibility of permanent death? Or is it best as it is? :)
Considering the way I've changed stuff... This is for the best. The game'd be a little too punishing were I to do this

But I might implement stat downs for every revival after your hearts are over! Hm.
What do GOLD WING and GOLD CARD do?
Will any enemies drop MP potion or a merchant sell any?
What do GOLD WING and GOLD CARD do?
GOLD WING teleports you to previously visited locations, while GOLD CARD summons a shop.

Will any enemies drop MP potion or a merchant sell any?
No, if you want you need to grind for max Mp. BUT there are plenty of low-cost spells, plus guarding restores 1 mp ;)
It'll raise naturally as you play.

Hey, did anyone get to face L_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ yet?
Those two items are a one time purchase?
I am grinding but dont see my MP ever going up or restoring. I know by guarding you raise by 1 (hahahaha, Joseph...!?)
I fought SHIVA who you can fight as often as you can find her.
You said there several more bosses...once i use the BLACK SPHERE which isnt working but will read what you wrote above...I imagine this takes me to a different places where secret bosses are? I think SHIVA is the only one in the area I am in.

I see what you said about the BLACK SPHERE, which I dont understand yet since I havent bought the GOLD WING but figure it will be obvious when i buy it.
Thanks, Joseph for being as helpful as you are.
