EDIT: Old demo release from when the game was in a different engine (oh my!). Think of it as playable concept art.

The tiniest demo to ever demo for the release something event. Not to be reviewed though feedback is always welcome!

Brief comments after giving it a go:
I'm pretty sure that's not the tiniest demo to have ever demo'd, haha. But I was enjoying myself, so I was pleasantly surprised there was more to it than I was expecting. I was really impressed with the ship minigame. It ran really well, and the difficulty sure spiked! I'm looking forward to see what else the game has in store later.

One small note that the balance level of the audio was all over the place. I had to drop my volume to a third for that monstrously loud sliding puzzle >.>

@Racheal

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

On a side note: I totally forgot about audio balance. I don't have time to smooth it out completely right now but I've fixed the download enough so that hopefully no one elses ears get blasted.

Great custom art, great mood, good use of music. Plot beats are well handled, shows a lot of promise. That sliding puzzle is way too hard though. I didn't do any of the ship minigame like Racheal though. I've already given you my thoughts on the slide puzzle though. Even a purely interaction based game in this style would be awesome. The mood's really well crafted. I was about to say "subbed", but I've already been subscribed.

I won;t review, really I wont :). I'll pop back in with feedback once I've given it a go, though.

Thanks again for the feedback!

@ nhubi

If you really must review it that's fine! It's just still sorta rough... Either way I await your feedback!

No that's fine, the whole point of release something was about getting feedback for a better game experience, so it's just thoughts at the moment. The sound imbalance has already been mentioned, and you've got that on your list to fix so I won't reiterate it.

Some of the graphics look awfully familiar, but since I liked the them the first time I saw them, that's no biggie.

Ah, emergency! Stupid central computer through, just repeating the same message rather than giving me a clue as to what has happened.

I've never been fond of that 9 square sliding puzzle type but this one wasn't too difficult it took me a few minutes to step myself through the moves I would need to make but then it was done. I understand that some people have problems with this one but is it random though? That would explain I think why it was easy for some and not others. I actually didn't mind the version I got, it hit that middle ground for me. Through you should be able to exit out of it, after all you can step away from the panel to look at the schematics, being locked in until you solve or have to reboot isn't ideal.

Why did you change the star scheme from blue to orange? I know she's going through an emergency, but that would hardly change the colour of the space between the stars, unless the emergency lights are creating a filter? That would work.

I got 512 on the shooter, it was so old school! Is that just a filler or will your score have some impact on her survival?

It does randomly shuffle! I'm thinking about adding a way to see what it should look like as well as a way to skip it entirely for people who dislike sliding puzzles or have a hard time solving them.

It will have some impact! Players will need to get a certain score on it, which is why I need to know everyone's high score.

I'd been working on this project in my color theory class. One of the prompts was harmony/discord.

It is supposed to be like the lights a creating a filter though! It's also to show a change in emotions/atmosphere on the more metaphorical side. Honestly I'm not 100% sure if I like it (or any of my color schemes for that matter) but I really want to experiment with color and get out of my comfort zone.
