Name: Everything Will Be Fine

Developer: Ebeth

Story: Everything Will Be Fine is a point and click adventure by Ebeth about a girl that lives on a space ship and has nightmares every night of crashing.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds! And now I've got that song stuck in my head.

Writing: Not much. This demo is short! It has a lovely, almost childlike opening that is basically a roughly drawn animated spaceship crashing. Then you find yourself in the room in that screencap above. Go up the ladder, save your game, and then the game gets your heart racing by making a bunch of noise and saying you're running out of oxygen. QUICK! Go to engineering and see what's wrong. Fix the problem, and that's it. Barely a minute of gameplay.

Gameplay: Speaking of which! The writing section describes most of the gameplay. All that's left to describe is the fixing part. It's an eight tile sliding puzzle. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Once you solve the puzzle and fix your oxygen supply, Ebeth thanks you for playing her demo.

Graphics: As usual, delightfully playful. Deceptively simple and whimsical in their overall tone.

Music: You know, the music left such a slight impression on me, that I'm honestly not certain if there even was music, and I just played the game. Now, when you learn oxygen is running out, it makes this screechy alarm that gets your blood pumping. I literally just, in the middle of writing this paragraph, just went back and played this game again to verify the music. It is incredibly atmospheric and so...out of the way. It really is perfect and the game is perfectly complimented by it.

Conclusion: It's so short! You don't get a chance to really get to know it! There's very little gameplay, but what painfully little there is is good. Play it for the art. Being a demo, I won't rate it.

Thanks for the review Piano!

The version you played is going to be quite different tan the final version- in fact I'm calling it playable concept art for now.

I'll have a new demo for the game released by fall so I hope you will revisit the game then!
