The Witch's House is a freeware puzzle-oriented horror game by Fummy made in RPG Maker VX.
The young Viola visits a mysterious house in the woods.
She soon discovers its dangerous nature and must find a way out.
But the house is ever-changing, and death could be lurking anywhere...
(Be aware that some elements of the game are somewhat violent.)
Troubleshooting/Common problem
Please make sure to extract the game to its own folder instead of running directly from the ZIP file. If you don't do so, any saves made will be lost the next time you run the game. The game will also be false flagged by Chrome, it's safe.

For a second there I went,

I was really surprised that such a popular RPG Maker game never made it to this site. I wonder if its because it was originally in Japanese... anyway, cool job uploading this game.

VGperson literally said they can't be bothered to upload here. xD
This game has had a lot of people say it's one of their favourite games. The screenshots look nothing special, but it must have really good atmosphere. Maybe I'll play it and see why people have rated it so highly.

It's a favorite mostly because it introduced them to rpg horrors. It wasn't a favorite of mine before Diary of Ellen

Did you actually ASK VGPerson before posting this here? I mean not to rain on anyone's parade, but VGPerson translates these games with the creator's permission and posts them on downloads to VGPeron's site with again the creator's permission. If you weren't given permission by both the creator and the translator, should you really have posted it?

Not to mention when I asked, Vgperson never brought up the second need for permission, as I'm reuploading and not actually editing the game.
Thank you very much for bringing this game here! This is one of the greats as far as horror kill-you-every second RPG Maker games go, and hopefully now even more people will enjoy it :D
So many jump scares seriously, you won't see some of them coming. Not too long and not too short really enjoyed this game.

This game was awesome, it made me really love horror RPGMaker games when a friend recommended it to me a long time ago. Apparently it's here too xD
Scary game and very hard to play. It was a bit confusing for me. I want an anime based on this! :D
I never understood what really happened until I read wiki *facepalm* and boy I was shocked.
I don't think there could actually be an anime based on this. The main character is silent and there is a lot of dying which they can not re create in the anime.

They could base the anime on the novel! I would love to see it.
