Get your Holy Eggnog and Goddess Cookies and get cozy by the fireplace. It's time for a last minute gift.

Christmas is almost here and you still haven't got any gifts! Well you could go to a store right now but they're all surely be mobbed. Forget dealing with all those crowds, you can get your gifts from the local demon infested dungeon. What could possibly go wrong?

Last Minute Gift is a Christmas themed evasion based dungeon crawler. I played this game last Christmas season and decided I wanted to play it again with the new inclusion of Easy Mode. There is also a new Hard Mode as well. You'd be crazy to play the Hard Mode. Trust me, Normal Mode is difficult enough. I believe the last time I played I got the basic ending but with the inclusion of Easy Mode I was finally able to see the best ending.
If you want a merry old time pick Easy Mode. If you like a challenge pick Normal Mode. If you are the spawn of Krampus pick Hard Mode.

Gameplay
Controls are simple but difficult to master. All you need to do is dodge. You really need to focus on enemy movement. Most enemy movement is simple but some are very complex. OH, NO! NOT THE BEES! NOT THE BEES! If you want to perfectly evade those bees you'll need to really study their movement path.
The dungeon itself can seem overwhelmingly large at first but the longer you explore, the more it makes sense and you grow accustomed to it's layout. It's a very well designed non-linear layout.
I was sorta expecting a Krampus boss after gathering the 15 presents but considering the difficulty of the last areas perhaps it's not needed.

Graphics and Sound

The design and music of the game is beautiful. It's dark Christmas theme is incredibly charming and the fact that all the custom art was done on a short deadline is amazing. The music matches every area perfectly and really get's you into the Christmas spirit. The art and music is very atmospheric.

Story
It's a short story but what is there is well written. I love how the main character Lieve remarks about each gift she obtains. The only qualm I can think of is that I wish that in the ending we could see Lieve's friends unwrap and hold there respective gift. I'd like to know who got the Excalaprop or the Unknown Technology.

Final Thoughts
As I said last year, this is the best Christmas game I've ever played.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Yay! Another review for this fantastic game. This still remains one of my favourite RPG Maker games of all... what a jolly recap. Merry Christmas.

Thank you so very much for the review, RedMask! (I meant to respond earlier but I've been sick and stuck in bed >.<;;) I am so glad you enjoyed it, and am planning an eventual sequel, where hopefully I can address some of the points here, like maybe adding in a final boss and such!
Hope you get well soon.
Have you ever watched Game Grumps? Because they play Christmas games every December. Your game is a lot better than most of the stuff they play for the holiday so maybe you could get them to play this game next year. I'm not sure how people usually submit games to them but I found their business email - grumpbiz@gmail.com
