Little introduction here; this review is the thoughts of not one, but multiple people who make up the RMN Review Club. We have all played the game and discussed it to an extent, and I have here compiled our thoughts into something coherent.

Gameplay:
This is arguably the most important part of a game, and thus can make or break a game.
The choice between tinker or fighter is definitely a nice choice, due to the change in play style giving a different experience if one decides to play again.
At the same time the tinker can be a bit more difficult since a weapon takes awhile to get, while the fighter gets a sword early on. This doesn't make the game frustrating for the tinker, since you have the robot to do the heavy lifting.
This game is one where you have to search everywhere to find items needed to progress the story, which can be frustrating at times, but luckily there is guide on the game page in case you get stuck.

Now the gameplay of the boards is the most important part since they are the focus of the story, they are best summed up with this:
if you cleared a spot after stepping on it, allowing for you to move freely around the board once you'd killed enemies (or at least be given a chance of it - like after the first kill you get 50% chance of an encounter... hell, even letting you choose to engage or not, so that if you wanted/needed to grind you could.) It was a bit obnoxious. As were the quiz questions. A lot of them were like "What? Was I told this somewhere? How am I supposed to know the answer to this bullshit?!" -Liberty

It is offered it might have been better that after fighting you would be given the option to choose whether to fight monsters in a spot you have already fight monsters before. Just so the player has an option to grind or not.

Story:

The genral gist of the story is that you play Elsa, a little girl who for some reason can open these doors to the game board. The game board involves fighting enemies t walk over blue spots, then fight the boss. A large chunk of the story is told through things found around the map. without them, all you know is you can go into the boards, so do it.
Characters are somewhat generic and not very talkative. Arguably the best side characters are the four questers who show up repeatedly to provide a chuckle and get in the way. They show progression and are like-able.

Graphics:
The map and graphics to Game Master are beautiful. There was a lot of time put into the mapping, that is easy to see and it paid off. The map has elevation, and it makes the world feel so much more alive. The graphics and mapping was done amazingly.

Conclusion:

The boards and the searching can become tedious and frustrating, but still quite enjoyable. The story is some what hard to grasp but definitely there.

The graphics are stunning and make the game come alive

A gestalt review, that's an interesting concept, it makes me want to take another look at this game and see if I agree with the consensus.
Thank you so much for your feedback! :) Should I decide to overhaul and/or expand the game (and I am in fact thinking about it), this is truly valuable feedback! For instance, a Wooden Hammer for the Tinker class could happen, or making red fields skippable once cleared.
