Progress report for March 11-April 26

Wednesday, April 1 through Sunday, April 26
Another hiatus period, mostly spent playing games for some ideas. At least it didn't take up the entire month.

Tuesday, March 31
And so, March ends with me making the end of episode cutscene and a short intro, as well as the Renzan Island exit of Lair of the Queen bee and Renzan Beach maps, putting me back on track.

APRIL FOOLS! March actually ended with nothing.

Sunday and Monday, March 29-30
Time sure flies.

Saturday, March 28
Made one of the end of episode cutscene maps after delaying it for a couple days. I guess I just like making maps better. Too bad it won't mean a thing without story.

Friday, March 27
The one that got away. Actually, it seems like most Fridays do get away.

Thursday, March 26
Added enemy weaknesses to my plan for monsters. They're not all going to be mash attack and win. In fact, some enemies won't be affected by physical attacks!

Wednesday, March 25
A bit of a lighter day than most recently, I walked through the game to the broken bridge, defeated the slimes, and got slaughtered by batties as soon as it became night. So, I probably will be dropping the batties' stats. That's OK, that's what testing is for!

Tuesday, March 24
Tested some new events in the Lair of the Queen bee. Here's a reminder- Autostart is bad. It doesn't let anything else happen outside the event even if wait is turned OFF. I squashed that nasty bug before it had a chance to release.

Monday, March 23
Added objects to Western, Northern, and Eastern Lakel Island. I also added a few houses to the first town. This game is going to come out pretty soon here.

Sunday, March 22
Finished making the Lair of the Queen bee B2 & the boss area (end of Episode).

Saturday, March 21
Made the outlines and did some coloring for Lair of the Queen bee B2. A bit of a slower day compared to Thursday.

Friday, March 20
Released said screenshots to RMN, and basically just took a one-day breather. Wouldn't want to burn out, after all.

Thursday, March 19
Didn't make any new maps, but added objects to Lakelan Town, its outskirts, and the Swamp of Disappointment. The objects may change, but their relative placement on the map won't. Also made SIX new screenshots for Release Something VI.

Wednesday, March 18
Finished making the Lair of the Queen bee B1 map.

Tuesday, March 17
Made the outlines for and colored part of the Lair of the Queen bee B1.

Monday, March 16
Made the maps for Northern and Eastern Lakel Island, leaving just the Lair of the Queen bee to make.

Sunday, March 15
Made the first map for Lair of the Queen bee. It looks a bit like the ice cave map I made last summer, but has non-black outlines and other elements to it.

Saturday, March 14
Made the Lakeshore map and the hang-gliding minigame map.

Friday, March 13
Unlucky! No update.

Thursday, March 12
Made no less than THREE maps! Lakelan Town outskirts, Swamp of Disappointment, and the world map view of the island. I'm going to add all the objects to the maps as necessary.

I've been trying to download the original version from your site for a couple years now, hoping maybe the link would eventually be fixed. Hasn't happened yet... :(
It'd be better to play this one. The original is incredibly crappy, anyway. There was almost no story to speak of, you just wandered from place to place. If you still want an RPG Maker 2 version to play, try Dragon Kingdoms II. It has just a little bit more direction.
