Love the basic RPG mechanics but tired of saving the World? How about Conquering it? Well I'm happy to tell you that's pretty much what Flip Dimensions is about. However, In order to get your hands on the world you live in, you must travel across the multi verse fighting other Dark Lords and prove you are the strongest of the all!
Kazuki is a dark lord who wants to conquer the kingdom of Theiweth, but all his dreams are crushed when a farm boy from a forest village with no combat experience whatsoever destroys all of Kazuki’s evil dreams (Don’t you hate it when that happens?). With help from his right hand butler, Minori, Kazuki was able to escape his castle to live another day. Upon hearing about a legendary item that can grant wishes, Kazuki sets out to look for it still with the evil eyes bent on conquering the world... Only to later find out that the path to his wish may not be worth the effort and that the world he lives in may not be what it seems...

minrori is already awesome with her dialog early on!
status screen NEEDS descriptions for the characters!
:( messed up on lvls tho someone leading a army and wanting to conquer a world and his right hand man/girl would not be at lvl 1!

the dialog in this is priceless! you get a new character and then have a cutscene in the status menu! :D
as its not finished i cant give a overall opinion of the game.
outside the fair amount of grammar mistakes tho. this was enjoyable and i would like to see a finished version.
its not often after all you get to play a darklord after all!

And yeah, someone else mentioned in person that you shouldn't of started the game on
level 1, it's a little late to change in now, but if I can have a graphical fix to make it look like 101 I would do it.
Also, I'm going to wait a little longer before adding character descriptions so I don't add anything that will become false later on, I should find time to give gear description though!
Edit: Updated to Demo Ver 2.3, adds descriptions to all weapons and armors as well as fixing all the typos you pointed out. Not to mention hit rate was increased again.

a little bug, in the Castle Town after the scene with Bob? i think well the ghost, if you return to the Oub your companions are still ther you cannot interact with them in any form so I supposed is a bug, but is small :p

Ah, some of these things happened to come up after uploading and well into the development of chapter 3. Thanks for pointing that out though. There's a couple other things that shows that Chapter 2 was a bit rushed that I plan to fix as well.

Just for the record, the reason so many posts occurred (I've deleted the multiples) is that the site lagged out and you probably pressed back then resubmitted. In the case that it happens again, don't do that. Instead, go back to the page you were on before the site lagged out, copy your post (just in case) then refresh the page. If the site says it is down, wait a few minutes and try again. Once the page loads, your post should be there. If it isn't, then paste it and then submit.
More often than not the first post will go through, which is why each time you press back and try to resubmit, you get more posts - each one is going through, even though the site is saying it's down.
It's a little finicky, yes. We're moving servers very soon and hopefully that will fix it but until then this is the best way to reduce accidental multi-posts. ^.^
Finished chapter 2
it felt you improved as a creator during this part for things outside of spelling.
the mapping was good the story was really interesting.
something i would of liked to see was a free resting place.
i mean you own your own castle there would be a bedroom.
as for the chapter i did not understand
the beginning of it with the blond girl was was hit by a car in a modern city.
as you live in a older civilization it cant be his past.so am i to assume he can see the future? also i almost forgot what happened to the blond girl that was part of his army. i do believe he said that anyway. so i assume she is alive somewhere
its fine if either of those are explained in future chapters just wanted to know if i failed to understand something

Thanks for the feedback, this helps a lot! I'll see about adding some kind of resting place to the castle... but it wouldn't be much use because there won't be any dire need to go back there after chapter.
As for the segment before the chapter, there will be something like that in the intro of 2-6. Yes, it will be explained, but it's near the very end of the game. I can't say more than that because it's actually a huge twist that holds the plot together. I guess I didn't introduce it well enough if you got confused by it. :O
But for the Blonde girl who was apart of his army? I feel silly not remembering anything from my own game. But I don't believe I have such a character. The only characters you know about that are on the dark side is Bob, Kazuki, Minori, and Fred.
I'm more motivated to work on chapter 3 now. :)

Thanks for fixing that, I wasn't going to bang him for it since he joined the site just a day before he made the post and I've made the same mistake before, but now the comment section is much cleaner now.

i did not notice it saying that she died after that.
so i was wondering if she will be in a later part of the game.

Oh, that's Minori when she was younger... I should off specified that. I should use the gray-ish haired girl RTP instead.

do you have fully instaled the RTP, it could be that could be the problem

Let me check to see if the version I uploaded has that file, thanks for pointing this out.
Edit: Found the problem, whenever you change the battle BGM, it assumes you still have the same format. I had a long day so it may take me a while to get this fixed. You can always convert the file yourself if you want, in the audio folder: Boss-battle.ogg

Rechecked all possible times the battle music was changed, so it should work now. Try it again. :)

my biggest issue with the chapter was the moving escalators. a little bad on the eyes to look at. and there design makes it somewhat difficult to plan a path out if you like doing so.
the plot is still in the grey for me so trying to figure out where your going with the story :3
this is kazukis second life he is having flashs of things he knew about in his previous life.
some girl he probably knew had a accident and i assume she died or never woke up.
perhaps your character got revenge on the person that hit her and died due to the consequences.
that girl was reincarnated as minori.
basically in the end you will find out and get all lovey dovey probably becoming a hero (well you already are :3)
maybe she woke up and made him promise her something :3
so w8ting for the next chapter!!! :D

author=shayokoI will admit Chapter 3 seemed much better in my head than on the actual maker. Not to mention I was losing interest near the end and forced myself to finish it. Thanks for bearing with me through it, I'm going to polish up this chapter as much as I can before moving on to the next chapter, I want each chapter to at least stand decent on there own.

Things I really need to do:
-Fix all typos (like all the other chapters)
-Balance some new equipment.
-Other bugs (there's a locked door you can walk through and a glitch with one of the belts)
-Completely change the belt puzzles to something more like the team rocket arrow puzzles (check the underground game corner in Pokemon R/B/Y FR/LG)
-And of course, whatever catastrophe that comes up that someone else submits.
As for your idea on the plot... I'll just say that there's a huge plot twist that no one so far expects (or out of everyone I asked), mostly because it hasn't even been hinted that much yet. A big hint will come to the flashback before Chapter 4.
