Great idea just like an old pc game!

First of all the graphics remind of the days long gone in a dark basement with a flickering computer screen, Which is a good thing! After getting over the initial nostalgic hot coco haze it is a fun distraction that will leave you crossing your fingers that you'll live through the next room.

The game play is very much luck based but don't let that throw you off. There are a few items that you start off with and some that are dropped that will make give you a greater chance of surviving. Again what is dropped/encountered is luck based so it is somewhat like combining Dungeons and Dragons with Roulette! On one play through I was killed within the first few rooms and on another I barely managed to defeat the end boss and win!

There are two major set backs that I had with the game and it wouldn't be a review if I didn't put in the 'gripes' so to speak. First off is that the chipset for the dungeon was far to dark for my monitor (even with the brightness on full) and I had to edit the chipset to actually see the walls. Second is that some might be put off by the randomness of the game as getting into an impossible win scenario is not entirely unlikely. Other than that it is a simple (simple to play not elementary to create all in all) and light hearted dungeon romp that everyone should give some play time to!

Dungeon Quest is an entertaining and easy to pick up on game. I hope to see more projects from this author as I salute anyone who does something out of the ordinary in this engine. If only I could get this on my phone then I'd be a happy dungeon crawler!
