This is our jam game! We proudly present you... Our Desolate Planet!

(GAME BY Cap_H, CashmereCat and JosephSeraph! I don't know how to add developers to the gamepage yet!!!! >_<')

Join Tyris', SER-37 and Kent's struggles to keep their little home alive, amidst a post-apocalyptic colony in a desolate, remote planet. (that's not even part of a solar system!)

After a mysterious event sometime in the past, mutations occured and enormous parts of the colony lost their power. The knowledge of what happened was lost as the generations went by, and now we live in the remains of the Colony -- the only safe haven in that planet.

Collect resources and delve into the city -- now turned an enormous dungeon -- to fight for your colony's survival. Uncover the mysteries of the planet, and save all that you hold as family and friends. The future of that small handful of people... It is on your hands.

(Tentative title, some things are subject to change and the text is subject to being rewritten, as well.)

(Also, CSS theme is a placeholder. Thanks Chaosproductions for that *u*)

Guys you've got a transition problem (well actually you got quite a few) but this one is after you take out the green guardian, you can't transition back out of the room. Luckily you can walk around in the void between maps and get back into the game via another open transition point, but I shouldn't be able to do that.

Also you may want to stick a 'this is a dangerous area message' on the door to the GG room, I took him on at level 8 and just managed to survive but I think I hit him early, as in on my first run through the parkland.

Also you really need to have a look at the chests in the industrial areas, all the small ones don't open, and the large ones you have to be standing in front of to access which means the ones on top of boxes also won't open. It's frustrating.

e: Guys a slight warning. I've just submitted a review, and it's harsh. It's fair, but it's harsh.

game is great and enjoyable can't wait till it complete

That definitely is the problem. Will be solved till next version

You have the truth again. We want to integrate this as soon as possible. There should have been updated version already, but none of us had got to it lately.

Thanks for hint. I was taking a look at it after my playthrough. The latter half of the problem is caused by jumping events.

There will be so many enhancements in the next version, guys!
So I finished the game, I'm gonna write a review for it soon.
Lys Grass has been whipping Kent for the last part of 10min and he is stunned, and healing 73hp every time.

15min and going, must find anti stun gear
Yep, that made me close the game too. Stun should autoheal after x turns.

Was able to complete the game anyway. Save before or after every enemy.

Random thoughts

the stat up screen feels a bit buggy. like i tried using the shift to check nodes and it was just warping me back over and over.

enemies should disappear when killed, looks terrible since they are standing dead :D

i think the bugs are retarded...one of them is like..."we are screwed...we are all going to die"
and why? because a nuke is going to hit the area...but...its THIRTEEN DAYS AWAY!!!
how do they even have this information!? not only generally speaking but that early!?

i hate the plot...i am tired of humans and there greedy rule >.> precious human life my ass
7+ billion isn't precious its excessive

dialog needs work :(

the room with all the computers was a horrible idea. always avoid text dumps...this forces you to sit and read this all at once rather then nice and broken up.for all the players knows they may not be able to come back here after a certain point.

so did humanity in this world grow common sense and realize theres no higher being? otherwise saying they are disturbed by the insect race worshiping the moon is ridiculous!

should block off the teleporter until you have done the main stuff at the fort otherwise the dialog that plays makes no sense.

the bugs are bloodthirsty? so they eat humans? that should of been brought to are attention immediately.

Ok i am dropping this! the captain saying "do you want to let the community down?" was the all i can take.
i hate the plot and characters!

Ser cant upgrade everything :( (not enough points obtainable)

General
i honestly hated this game. it constantly reminds me why i play games and have other hobbies that don't require interacting with others to enjoy them.
the dialog/grammar needs a overhaul and some bugs as well.
also when you defeat enemies their sprites stay there so it looks like they are fine.

Overall
i honestly don't recommend this to anyone that dislikes or hates humanity in reality because the way they are.

Hopefully that's not a broad audience.

I liked the game! I haven't played much but I enjoyed the world and the mapping and the dialogue! The bug back and forth was great :)

I'll pick it up again one day, but for now I found a passability error!

I'm up on the wall, yo!
I fall into the audience of unrepentant misanthropes that shayoko lays out there but I'm not paying to much attention to their disrecommend because I didn't find their feedback particularly coherent apparently a review of their posting record indicates they hate FUCKING EVERYTHING and I generally don't have time to play games anyway.

Sorry, just engaging with the last post like it wasn't made OVER FOUR YEARS AGO. I'm seeing this four year old game for the first time because of course I am. Popped up on random games or random screenshots.

It seems like this has gotten a good amount of plays and differing opinions on it from some respected voices so it's not going on the playlist just now but when I saw it at random on the frontpage I just wanted to swing by and say for whatever reason I really like the aesthetic, the old scifi 2k graphics and some familiar rips I identify with games from the same era (like Iron Gaia and ABL) scaled up and retouched for use in Ace.

to keep their little home alive, amidst a post-apocalyptic colony in a desolate, remote planet. (that's not even part of a solar system!)

Lastly I'm sorry to be the science buzz-kill here but that is not--like, emphatically not--how planetary life works.

Thanks for swinging by, StormCrow! Indeed, this project is a severely fragmented one and we all recognise that, however there are things buried underneath all the bugs that are worth scavenging for. Pieces of the core that glow a radiant orange we should all gaze at with wonder.

Lastly I'm sorry to be the science buzz-kill here but that is not--like, emphatically not--how planetary life works.

Au contraire, let me be the first to point out that this story does not take place in the laws of physics as we know it! In our universe, planets don't need to be parts of solar systems to be planets. They are planets when the universe decides they are. The universe is a sentient being that decides which planets are real "planets" upon their Whim. The Whim is decided upon which way the 3 Flags are flying. The Flags are simply flags cosmic in nature that define the very constants of our universe that we live in, right now, today.

And that is how the cookie crumbles, fair dinkum.
