Masud did a terrible thing.

Now he wears the Mask of Odion, a cursed relic that's forced his soul into the body of a mummy. Worse is Odion himself, the former owner of Masud's new body.

Keep walking, sweetheart, Odion says, his phantasmal jawbone clacking and clattering. Every minute we spend in this God-forsaken desert is another minute your body rots in my tomb.

An ocean of sand stretches in front of them. How many more miles until they reach the tomb? How many more days until they break Anuket's Tear and lift the curse?

Features:
- Traverse a winding pyramid and other beautifully designed but dangerous areas in exploration-based gameplay.
- 33 relics to collect that boost stats and grant powerful new skills add layers of depth to the turn-based combat.
- A story featuring four well-developed characters with a focus on mystery, duty, and living in an unconventional family.
- Solve puzzles and riddles, and use relics to unlock new areas, while listening to the game's original soundtrack. You can get it here.

Born Under the Rain's Soundtrack

For anyone interested, I finally got around to uploading the soundtrack. Everything should be free to download and you should be able to stream as much as you want:

You can get the soundtrack to Born Under the Rain here.

Also, if you like my music, I've uploaded the soundtrack to The Heart Pumps Clay as well. You can get it here.

Enjoy!

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I believe that's correct, that if you don't have an established publisher it needs to go through Greenlight. You could try selling it to a publisher like Aldorlea. I have no idea about how that goes.
Going back and charging for the game after so many months of giving it away for free would be really awkward. We would need to make an "HD Version" or some DLC or something, and at this point we have no plans to do so. However, the response to this game has been pretty good, so who knows? Maybe we'll make another game together in the same style!
Yeah, I'd feel weird about charging for this, but I'm really flattered you think it's worthy of it!
Oh yeah, that makes sense. It's been out for free now for a while. Well, anyway, it's great!

Congratulations! This game has been on my To Play list for a while now, and it getting featured is even more incentive to finally start playing.
Congratulations! I had a review planned, and it seems it will be well-timed.

A well deserved feature, and one of the best games from Space Jam McBacon Jam #1!
Thanks! I think Indra's been featured before, but this is my first, so it's pretty awesome!
This was a great Rpg overall featuring explorations of surreal caves,
tombs and pyramids including a sphinx dungeon. I played up to the
the final goddess deep inside the catacombs.
this looks great!
how long does it take to finish btw?
It's just a few hours long; gameplay varies a bit depending on how much you explore and which difficulty you select.
Ok so i'm a bit stuck. I need to find 12 more relics and I have finished the first orb puzzle(fire, sand, palm trees etc). I also reached the sphinx boss guy but I haven't battled him yet. I tried to solve the first sphinx riddle I found but I could just read the riddle I couldn't answer it.(usually when there is a riddle u will be able to solve it by typing the answer but I could just read the riddle.)
same thing with the second riddle that is there at the top part of the pyramid. so i was wondering if it was meant to be like that or am I supposed to solve them first before trying to fight the sphinx??

You're not at the point yet where you can answer them. When you find where to enter the answers, you'll be entering them all at once.
Also, the sphinx isn't the end of the game; you'll be able to find several more relics after you defeat him.
Wow that was an amazing game!! The story was simple and straightforward. I really liked the setting, it was so refreshing and it reminded me of Alladin. Another thing I really liked was the monster battles n how u have to battle only when you need to access another area and some battles are avoidable but I fought them anyway to gain experience, & there are no random encounters(hallelujah!!). I also liked that after battle the party gets healed coz that was super awesome and convenient.
And that last girly Masud? in the mirror was hilarious. *doki doki* LOL!
Overall I really loved the game. 10/10 I would totally recommend others to play this. I hope you make more games like these!! :D :D :) :)

P.S - I just had one question..
what happens to Masud in the end? Will he get his body back? Didn't Odion say he needed to return to his body soon or he would die of thirst or something like that? i thought the ending would also show him getting back his original body.
@eevee93:

Nope, Masud's not getting his body back. That was the decision he had to make in the end: either get his body back or end the drought and be a good father for once.

That's too bad. I guess Masika will never know that Masud is really her father... :(
This is a reeeeeeeeeally good game. Haven't had this much fun with a battle system since Obelisk: Devilkiller. Almost 100% hard mode. Missed
the power of positive thinking.

I think you should disable
the town monster trainer XP on hard mode
. Feels a bit cheap. Probably still beatable.
I totally didn't know this was your work until I saw it on your page!
This now has a TvTropes Page:

And now I'm sure that the title doesn't appear in this game's summary. Which is interesting.
