Now that Something Else is out of my hair, I could go back and do some fixing of some of the more prominent bugs in the game. Much thanks to EdgeofChaos for pointing some of them out! I tried my best to fix all I could, but some of them are something I still need to work on.
Regardless, I hope that helps just a tiny bit!
Also I guess I may as well confirm I'm making a second game. I test-released the teaser demo and I'm going to try to fix up some of the faults of that one (Cloud Puzzle: the new Snowman Puzzle) before I set up a page for it here. I hope you all look forward to it!
Hello, hello. Again, I want to extend a thank you to everyone who gives my game a try. Even if you absolutely hated it, thank you for downloading and giving it a shot anyway! (And tell me what you hated so I can try to fix that in the future!)
Anyway, it's probably worth mentioning, but this game is actually about a year old at this point. I finished it March 23 of 2014 and released it sometime in June (my testers were busy with school and work). So I've actually been underway with a new project, but I'll get more into that when I have something actually worth sharing! Regardless, my main issue with not putting it on RMN for the longest time was the video file's size. Compression and I have never gotten along, even with my thesis piece, but in the first few "versions" of the game, the video file was like. 360 MB. It was pretty ridiculous. Because of that, the entire game was just sliiiightly over RMN's allowed file size, and I was like "well huh."
Until a few days ago, when I was like "YOU KNOW WHAT, I'M GONNA RESIZE IT." So I did! It compromised a bit of the quality, but it's still watchable. I would go back and fix more things, but I'm in the middle of new, exciting projects, so if time permits after that, I can come back to this! But in the meantime, as my first game, I think it was the best of my abilities at that time with the knowledge I had, and I'd like to think I'll only continue to grow as I learn more, both as an artist and a baby RPGMaker game... maker....
Again, thank you all so much, and I hope you'll continue to follow my silly ideas in the future!
