That's right, Jimmy's got an actual release date now! No more of that vague "Summer 2018" crap! Check it out on Steam if you haven't already.
Fun fact: my original release date that I put in on Steam as a placeholder was August 1st, so apparently I'm more or less on schedule.

Super great, man!
Think about dropping it on Itch, too! Very easy, can still do pricing, and can link to Steam if you want. Just a nice way to spread them indies out. :)

Hey, this guy finished a game and is releasing it. Get him.
Awesome news! Will purchase and play upon release.

Seeing this come to fruition from its starting point has been a real journey. I can't believe you've actually done it. Years in the making, and it's all going to come to a head. Your dedication is truly inspiring. Go Jimmy!
Nah, I didn't set up pre-orders. Do people like doing that? I always thought that was an industry scam to get people to buy something based on hype. Actually, now that I think about it, it's probably a means of getting a better sales estimate. Am I making a mistake by not enabling them?

I always thought that pre-orders were there to secure a copy of a game for yourself. It's useful for more obscure games that don't get digitally distributed and are in low supply in retailers. Since Jimmy doesn't have either of those concerns, I don't think it's a MISTAKE not to enable them. It can still be done if you wish, but I'd recommend a honest incentive for people to pre-order. Otherwise, it can easily come off as a scam.
I remember you saying something a while back about selling the soundtrack separately? Maybe include it as a pre-order bonus if possible? Fans will be able to get it at a discount, wary customers won't feel pressured, and you'll get the sales estimates you want.

Not a bad idea!
Actually, that brings up something that I've been mulling over. How should I distribute the soundtrack? Could I just set up a .zip file of all the .mp3s on Steam, or should I use something like Bandcamp?

Can't help you there, sadly. I'm unsure how it's handled, myself.

Don't sorry about pre-orders I just meant to make a more excited post than zds.
Use Bandcamp for a separate purchase.
I feel like this is one the only games that I have managed to follow throughout production. I'm definitely excited to see the final product. Congrats on finishing your huge project and good luck with the premier!
Hey, thanks so much! Coming out on TUESDAY, which is kind of surreal, honestly. I've been working on this thing too damn long, haha.
Tuesday I will purchase this, play it, write a wall of text review, and then steal all your secrets to be more successful.
