Two years ago, six heroes were tasked with saving the world.
So they did.
However, once again the world is under threat from an evil force,
and once again, these six heroes are called on by their Kingdom to stand up against it.
This is their story.
A story of action. A story of romance.
A story of a handful of idiots dawdling around and somehow managing to save the world.

Meet May, a young girl who wants nothing more than to become an adventurer. Nothing in life is free, however, and she's working her first job as a Barmaid in one of Castle City's many pubs. Imagine her shock when five of her customers are Legendary World-Class Heroes who had saved the world from destruction a couple of years ago!
Not only that, they seem to have taken an interest in her.
Guide May through five unique plotlines centred around five unique people in their journey to save the world, clear up the past, and maybe- just maybe-

And this started as a joke project that was going to have terribad voice acting, rushed ultra deformed artwork, and not an ounce of seriousness... haha... ha.

It’s time to announce the winners of the April was a Fool Design Contest!
In first place, is Winter’s design with a landslide of 57% of the votes. A huge, HUGE congrats to our winner! Your design will be featured in the game! I’m very excited~! It’s a great design.
In second place is Fictional01‘s design! It was a tight race between this and another design; watching them battle was pretty epic!
And Maki’s Pick goes to Gourd-clae I found the design to be really charming to work with!
So a huge applause for our winners! And another huge applause to everyone who entered. We got some wonderful designs all around and I was very excited to see them all. (I may just draw them all in the future just because) And yet another applause for everyone who voted. There’d be no winners without you.
To our winners, I’ll be contacting you personally soon to sort out your rewards and such. Don’t forget everyone who entered wins a free sketch of the AwaF character of their choice! So hit me up by email with which character you would like. :)

Right having a little trouble with the description. 2 years ago, six heroes saved the world. Cool. Now they are being called on to do it again, really cool. The we have May who is a barmaid, therefore not one of the original heroes, and she's blown away by 5 of the 6 turning up in her bar, the implication being that she becomes the 6th for the second round of world saving? What happened to the other 6th person? Or am I missing something and May lost her memory of being the 6th and became a...barmaid? Or some sort of wibbly wobbly ball of stuff going on?
Actually that would also be really cool.
Also, why can't you date the dragon? They have feelings and needs too you know.

April is indeed the missing 6th person of the group, and she was indeed a fool!
Why she is unable to travel with the original group is explained really early in the game, so I don't really count that part as a spoiler... Still, I left it out of the summary of the game because I didn't want to type it there. :3c
So for anyone who is mighty curious where April is and why May is stuck travelling with the rest of these idiots, here's some handy dandy--Spoiler Boxs!

May is April's doppelganger, basically. The King who has asked them to save the world is a babbling, senile, old man and none of them have the heart to tell him what happened to April. When they see May at the bar they ask her to pretend to be April, if only for a short while, to trick the King.

And yes, 54k is indeed a lot of words. Probably part of why the writing that was supposed to take a month took over two. It's okay though, because we had allotted over a month's time for "sitting around waiting for the release date."

Could I venture a guess to say that this was inspired by a hilariously voice acted and Misao-nominated game that gained somewhat of a cult following? Or am I wrong?

Because I loved the idea of a typical RPG setting, but then I felt betrayed by that game because all the guys were total jerkwards and I was so DONE with all of them D< Rach and I wanted to do something in a similar sort of setting (cliche RPGland), and I suggested making a joke game. As I started writing the storyline the game quickly became less of a joke and so the idea for bad voice acting was quickly cut. (be thankful for what you were all just spared from!)

This has definitely caught my interest. I like the idea of dating sims and adding fantasy into the equation (including RPG fantasy) is definitely a bonus in my opinion! I look forward to dating all these peeps with bated breath~
