The Curse Of Springsfall is an horror adventure exploration game made in RPG Maker VX Ace, and this contains jumpscares, flashes and gore which is not intended for children below 8. This story is made by me, so no one can steal it. You can also repost this on other RPG Maker webs. This is non-commercial, so its free. The music is also copyrighted, so If the composer wants it removed, I will find another non-copyrighted song.

The story follows Chloe Smith, an ordinary high school girl who attends a hotel party, only to find out this hotel leads to the alternate dimension of her town, which was trapped in a curse for 40 years. With her brain and her friends, can she escape this alternative world and save her town?

*Unique, thrilling story, inspired by Fatal Frame, Corpse Party and Siren.
*5 different endings.
*5 players
*3 chapters
*May feature some cameos from RPG Horrors

Game cancellation, new game

I'm sorry, but I'm cancelling this game because everyone is saying I copied that super awesome game Nightmare Of The Snow. So I'm making a new game and is inspired by Rule Of Rose.

Here are deatails:
-2 bad endings, one good ending.
-memory themed.
-involving roses.
-a female protagonist.
and here is a short description:
A legend says that teens who forget everything about their childhood are whisked away to Briwood, a world rule by the Royal Rose Ravens. When young 15 year old girl is whisked away, she must find 5 memoirs of her childhood to escape this world before she dies, turns into a ghost child and wanders forever in this world, finding no peace.

Edit: http://rpgmaker.net/games/7788/ You can download the game now.

If there's anything wrong, feel free to comment.:)
Played it, got stuck because I can't find any planks to help Chloe get across the huge gap while playing as Christine. I'm going to write the most scathing review ever, so prepare your anus (not really).

  • Pretty good, the game is functional and plays well.

  • It is clear that Corpse Party is the main inspiration for the game, so why not add name tag collecting like in that game?

  • The art is a little bit weird, especially around the neck (Christine's neck is too long!). However, Chloe's mugshot is fine.

  • For some reason, I ended up with 10 keys by the end of the maze part.

I'm sorry if I'm being too nitpicky, my mom raised me using the negative reinforcement method, blame it on her. I have the some of the graphical error I found screencapped, so tell me if you need em.

For what it's worth, at first I played this just to kill time while PC was installing GTA V (stupid 7 discs installation.), but then I ended up playing well over an hour after the installation finished. So I guess that's a good thing?

Is the save file you're or mine? Because I remembered saving myself in the game. And the planks are somewhere in the door hole and there's supposed to be two rooms, which has the 3 planks.

Also, I don't know what happened to the script, but I'll try to fix it.
Also, I know the art style is weird cuz I'm not good in drawing on computers :(
Maybe i will change five keys to 10.
And maybe you shouldn't use the F12 button to restart.
Ok, I finished chapter 1.
It seems like only one plank is needed to help Chloe cross the gap, I don't know if this is intentional or just an oversight.

Also I found quite a strange bug; after Chloe joined the party I rushed for the door that says, "2 is the key..." or something. I got stuck there for awhile not knowing what to do, then I decided to leave the room, as I was leaving the room an event played and transported me out side the music school. Huh...

My suggestion is to place the save orb sparingly, It stops becoming a horror game when you give the player so many opportunities to save (IMHO).

I don't remember an event outside the music school. 2 is the key means 2 people must be on the switches to unlock the door.

And frankly, I don't know how, but 3 planks were supposed to be used, not one.

Also, I'm glad you enjoyed chapter 1:) I'm working on Chapter 2
Hey I'm not finished with the game, but so far I really like it. I'm an art and design major and wondered if you wanted me to do the drawings to match the sprites? I could send you some samples of drawings I've done recently if you want. Over all though I really like it so far. c:

Sure, I could hire an illustrator.

I could draw up some samples and have them done within a week to show you. What kind of style were you thinking of? Cartoon-ish, anime, realistic, something in between?

I think you're trying to plagiarise this game: http://rpgmaker.net/games/5475

I'm not, really. (Okay this is really embarrassing) I thought of this idea before Nightmare Of The Snow came out. It's just coincidence, and I was about to say this game was also inspired by Nightmare Of The Snow.
It's just coincidence people, just coincidence. I'm not copying. I adore Nightmare of The Snow. I'm not trying to copy it. It's just coincidence. I thought of this idea before the game came out. So no negative comments, okay?
I was inspired by the elements of Nots when it came out. I'm not copying.
I'm gonna say this million times: I'm not copying.

This is like saying every fighting game ever is a copy of Street Fighter II.
