“I want to return.”

Have you ever made a mistake you regretted so much that you wish it possible to turn back time? That memory will never release you from its agonizing grasp for the rest of your life. But even if the present gave you the privilege to relive the past, would you have the strength to confront it? Or would your sins damn you into oblivion?

In our remake of Castle Oblivion, we've done a complete overhaul: Story, Character Development, Maps, and Gameplay worthy of current RPG players. The Castle welcomes newcomers and old-timers alike. And if you played the original, you’ll definitely want to revisit the Castle again.

Story Synopsis:
Vincent and Azen, two knights stuck in the rain, discovered a strange Castle. Their host was gracious enough to offer permanent refuge by kidnapping Azen with an overwhelming power. Not wanting to be next, Vincent abandoned his friend. After drifting through decades of guilt and wanting to redeem himself, the Castle returned. Vincent will find new friends and foes as he traverses the Castle’s memory-made worlds to rescue Azen, but can everyone overcome the shameful past?

Features:
- A rewritten and more expanded take on the original plot. Filled with tons of BANG!
- Re-balanced battles, designed for an enjoyable challenge, rather than frustration.
- Remade, detailed maps filled with variety. Makes the Castle feel more deep and alive than ever before!
- Stronger development for the different characters in the game.

Castle Oblivion: Remake is now on Game Jolt!

Yo-yo-yo! I've finally decided to take my next step as a developer to join the somewhat huge indie website called Game Jolt! The first game I have posted is this one (mainly since it's the game I'm most proud of so far). You can check it out right here: Castle Oblivion: Remake - Game Jolt Edition.

I also want to let you guys know that I am indeed working on my 5th game ATM, which should be revealed pretty soon (it's a pretty short game, so it won't take too long for it to release either!). If you're a fan of Adventure games, then make sure to stay tuned!

Thanks for all of the support and kind comments so far! I really feel like I need to do something to celebrate for the amount of downloads the game have received. Keep it real, yo, and I'll see ya soon!

The last skill to learn in level-ups is Celcia's Harshen to buff her ATK at Level 33, so you could aim for that, but I don't think grinding for levels is particularly necessary.

If you're still struggling beyond that last skill, it may have something to do with your battle approach. I like to recommend: 1 attacker with everyone else on guarding / healing / items to soak and clear damage, so that the party members can avoid getting one-shotted. If necessary, you can also give me your save and I can tell you a specific plan based on your current game state.
41 hours in, stuck on floor 9 now, my current level is 29. I haven't seen any signs of a switch or other thing that would activate the spikes to progress.

Update: First lever has been located and activated

Update 2: Now at final (?) Gilgamesh fight, which is ridiculously difficult at my current level of 31. How many more levels should I grind before taking him on?
Glad to see it working out, and congratulations on clearing another floor!

Luiishu you animal, the lily pad claimed another victim.
Yep, I never thought to check the lily pads, that's where the missing key was. Thank you for your help. Floor 2 completed in 12:37 from the start.
This is grasping, but did you ever pick up a key on a lily pad (it blends REALLY well in plain sight)? I thought the other keys should've been consumed by that point, so I didn't mark it on the map to prevent confusion... but maybe it's possible after all.

If that doesn't solve the issue, you can just PM me a copy of your save file and I can diagnose exactly where you need to go. I'm pretty sure you're nearly done the section and it would break my heart for you to redo it.
It appears there's a third key missing, I've picked up both of the keys shown, used both of them on doors in the cave, and still don't have one for the final door. I think I'll start again from 4 hours ago.
Keys are on the red dots.

With (0,0) set at the NW corner entrance...

Broken vase at (0, -25)
Broken vase at (1, -35)
Broken crate at (5, -36) <-- one key was here
Intact crate at (11, -66)
Blue button at (12, -115)

Seems like you need the key near (123,55).
So if one entrance is defined as (0,0):

Broken vase at (0, -25) (horizontal, vertical)
Broken vase at (1, -35)
Broken crate at (5, -36)
Intact crate at (11, -66)
Blue button at (12, -115)

What would the keys' coordinates be? (within the underground cave)

I'd imagine a map of the underground caves would be helpful if posted.
There are actually multiple keys in that huge cave. Don't know which one you still need, but...

1. In a cracked vase near the east entrance.
2. In a broken crate near the northwest.
3. Sail to the chest hidden in the back of the main island.
Where would the final key to open the door in the main island though?
Floor 2 is probably the longest in the game. For me, it always felt like two floors in one.

Ah, that's quite a tricky one! The key you're looking for is in the Great Sea, behind the big island/pirate hq in the middle. You'll have to use your ship to get there.

I think this is the key I need to find?
Edit: I found this behind the main island. Apparently we need yet another key though... where might that be?

At nearly the 12 hour mark, and still on floor 2 I think. Not sure how you'd complete everything in 20 hours... 50 is probably more like it.
By the way, where would the last key in the undersea caves be? I've unlocked every door except the one to the red button. All the keys seem to be in really difficult places.
Thanks. I'm not sure how I wasn't able to see that at first.

7 hours in, feeling kind of seasick.

By the way, where is the key in the section of the tropical cave with the red crystal?

Hidden in a triangle of three different trees next to the stream.

Specifically, after you jump across the stream from the spot near the log...
2 Lefts
3 Downs
1 Right
2 Downs
...Face left and grab the (obscured) key.
By the way, where is the key in the section of the tropical cave with the red crystal?
How do I access the 2nd floor? It seems blocked by a random flame, and I wasn't given a clue on how to get past it.

Edit: The master librarian mentions how to do so.
Save file will be compatible. I'm not too worried about a forgiving game since there's already a challenge version (a.k.a. the original), and I can't imagine too many complaints about having the power to toy with the difficulty level, but I'll keep your thoughts in mind.

Well, let's see what I come up with.
Will the save file be compatible i will wait for this version, either way dont give the player "free" gold outta nowwhere if that the case then it will be too forgiving with everyone having 99 of everything lol just make battle more rewarding(60 gold per battle is stupidly low i need 5 battles to even affort a simple revive).I dont know what free healing is? IS it after ever every level up you gain a f ull heal or is it literally every battle you get a full heal?(either way is fine to me). Special item to "modify" the player level? So more exp per battle is toggable or is it literally a cheat that let you get lv99?

Also another problem if you wanna buy more item from shop you literally have to backtrack allllll the way back even with short cut it preety long and tedius maybe there will be an item that instantly teleport you to all town you visit but you still need to go back to the dungeon yourself?
