Going to go to MacDonalds and order whatever that was

Maximus Jones is a short puzzle game created in RPG Maker VX Ace. This game has been on this website for quite some time. I remember playing this a couple years back, but I recently decided to give it another download and get to reviewing it.

I'm going off now to buy whatever that thing is.

In order to get your mysterious hamburger from McDonalds you need to unlock all those spike things on the floor. Each door leads to a different puzzle room. If you complete the puzzle you can unlock the gate. There is a nice variety of puzzles in this game. There is a boulder room, a shop keeping store, a place where you play 21, and the other two puzzles I don't really know how to title. The other puzzles require more interaction with the events inside the rooms. And some even require you do do stuff in other puzzle rooms. Some of the puzzles in the game are better programmed than others (Some of the puzzles are too cryptic and take a bit of trial and error to figure out.) But that doesn't mean that there isn't some fun to be found here and there.

The most fun I had was in the boulder room.

Maximus Jones isn't a serious game. Don't go into this expecting to get your mind blown. There are fun aspects to be found in a couple of the puzzles. And there are a few annoyances here and there in the others (not to mention that you might find some strange bug here or there. Like the game telling me I had already completed a mini game when I hadn't.) In all this is a nice game to download if you want to waste a few minutes without having to invest too much into the story. I give this game a 3.5 / 5.

Whoa! Totally didn't expect this. Thanks for playing my weird, crazy little first game! It was a surprise to receive and a pleasure to read.

You're very welcome.
McGuffin is a pretty good pun! Also, this game actually sounds weirdly similar to the far more recent The Bridge Tolls For Me, which I reviewed a couple months ago, since both are puzzle-heavy & have junk food as their ultimate goal. I wonder what you would think of it in comparison to this game.

It's still a MacGuffin in my game, so it may or may not be a McDonalds fast food item!
