Close Your Eyes: Intermission on Steam Greenlight

A follow-up spin-off for Close Your Eyes (or essentially CYE 1.5) will be releasing in late May/early June both on Steam and GameJolt, but I'd appreciate if people who liked the original would help vote for it on Steam Greenlight.

Can see the first couple of minutes here:

Close Your Eyes 'Final Expansion' Update coming to RMN & Steam this Monday

Close Your Eyes steam page now live

Steam store page now live, version 2.0 of the game, with over twice as much gameplay and a variety of enhancements and fixes, releases on July 24th everywhere it's releasing on. Tell you guys more soon!

Progress Report

Close Your Eyes Steam Page should be going live next week!

Look forward to it~

Close Your Eyes on Steam Update

Close Your Eyes will be coming out July 24th on Steam, sans any problems arising, and simultaneously also release on sites it's previously been released on, IE RPGMaker.net, GameJollt, Itch.io, etc. The version being released I am personally calling, "Close Your Eyes: Redux Final Expansion", which features a lot of new content from the previously released versions of the game.

The game should be over twice as long as the original Redux version of the game, and include all sorts of new locations, gameplay moments, story, endings, and unexpected twists and turns. I'm doing a lot of new scenes with all the characters from the main game, but there's also a new fourth main character to join the cast I hope you guys find appropriately odd. I also don't want to spoil anything, but I think the new content people will find very satisfying, I think the horror element is topped by the new final expansion from anything previously found in the game, and the mystery and intrigue still excretes from it and is much deeper than it's ever been before. Can't wait to see previous players reaction to the new content.

The game will be free for anyone to download and play, but in an effort to get some cash and to allow the game to potentially have trading cards, I have made a little DLC goodie bag for anyone who would like to support the product. The goodie bag I'm putting some additional effort to make it cool, it includes music, artwork, some cool little developer things, and a couple of bonus fun little extra things in the game, including a fun little tie-in optional location based off of my previous game, Girl's Graveyard. That will cost $1.99. My artist, Rincs, has also been working hard to make the trading cards, badges, backgrounds, and emotes be appropriately cool, so here's hoping we get approved for that.

The Steam page should go live towards the beginning of July, I'll have more news to announce then. In the meantime, please, close your eyes, and enjoy.

Close Your Eyes: Redux Greenlit on Steam!

Thank you all! Close Your Eyes: Redux was just greenlit onto Steam! There will be a big update coming in June/July, and the game will hit Steam then as well as a freeware (anyone can download) title. I'll have much more news coming shortly.

For those who played the original... 2.0 'Final' Update on the way.

I've settled on and started work on the new content for the 'final' version of the game to be released onto Steam and previous services (RPGMakerNet, GameJolt, etc.) if/when this gets Greenlit.

Now warning, if you would rather play this unspoiled, it may be best that you do not read this. While I've already made a variety of small fixes and changes, this is the floor plan for what the new content will be, and I've already began working on it. This new content will define the final version of 'Close Your Eyes Redux,' and will post the game to version 2.0 or 'Final' for me.

It contains some minor spoilers for the base game, and will ruin the surprise for anyone who wants to play without knowing the changes and new content, so you've been warned;

Floor Plan for Close Your Eyes: Redux final version new content:
-New artwork for Opening 'Hanging' Scene/Game Over/New Scenes.
-New music for the new scenes.
-New surreal opening gameplay segment.
-Old locations sprinkled with new surreal otherworldly 'dream(?)' sequences that happen as you transgress normally.
-New Character who plays a role in the story, voiced role like The Host, female, ghastly and seems out of it.
-New Forest Location. A sealed-off forest complete with a strange graveyard and designed something like an abandoned park.
-Expanded 'Nightmare' location at the end of the game. The final area of the 'Leave' path expanded with new areas and scenarios.
-New 'Final' Area, taking place after where the Leave Ending ended in the original Redux version.
-Two new endings to go along the previous two endings for Close Your Eyes: Redux.
-New scenes and segments with The Host.
-New segments with The Girl added earlier in the game.
-A New Monster, who plays a role now through the game.

There you go, that's the floor-plan for the new content. If Greenlight goes smoothly and development (which it should), this should all be done by Summer 2015, Hope it sounds interesting to those who played, and is executed well in the final game. Working hard on it all.

Close Your Eyes: Redux on Steam Greenlight

So this is a freeware RPG Maker horror game made from scratch for Ludum Dare 29 back in April of 2014. I last month updated the game quite a bit, and released it to various freeware sites, to which the response of the game was much better than I anticipated. I decided for experimentation and fun, to try and submit the game to Greenlight and see if I can get it as a free game on Steam. If this gets through, I'll expand the content of the game greatly, and release it for anyone to get freely and play via Steam. If you have any questions, I'll respond in the comments on this page. Thank you for the kind word from people, and to see how this goes.

Basically, see if I can get the game as a free game on Steam, if it gets Greenlit I'll add a lot of next content to the game, mainly for experimentation and to see what happens.
