Welcome to Catharsis: The Game, where a bunch of plastic children help a weeaboo escape from a bad situation.

Wait. Let's start that over.

With what starts as a simple day at the park, siblings Tony, Pablo, and Octavio are once again caught up in a series of strange circumstances such as pocket dimensions, coordinated monsters, and more geese than anyone could ever want to see in their lives. Stranded with them are Haze and Seal, two witches who seem to not be on the best of terms. Or are on fantastic terms. Who can really tell? The player has the opportunity to play as each of the children and uncover the not-so-mysteries of these eerily familiar (or completely bizarre) areas and the friendship between two people.

In the simplest of terms, this game is about relating to others, both the good and the bad. The game itself is largely straightforward with only a single ending. There's a few special game overs, though. Can you find them?

Featuring:
  • Custom sprites & tilesets
  • Color illustrations
  • Short animations
  • Perhaps an improved sense of game mechanics since my first attempt
  • Less huge, empty maps than my last attempt!!!
  • An original soundtrack! Courtesy of ProjectTrinity

The game runs approximately two hours long, but may be longer depending on reading speed and level of exploration.

I can't wait! I loved the first one so much!
Hello! I did a gameplay of this game (using the voice to portray a fictional character)

But I did get stuck at the end and would love to finish the demo. There were some issues after I entered the cloud-jumping room where the character could walk over walls and such. Was that a glitch in the game or was it actually part of it? I would love a walkthrough, as well. Since I do get stumped once in awhile. I hope you can help with this, because I would absolutely enjoy finishing the demo.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I live in a world where people actually record my games for funsies...!

And yeah, that's a glitch on my half. The cloud room is /intensely/ buggy and I really apologize for that. I'm trying to work out how to fix it.

As for a walkthrough, I'm sorry I didn't include one! I've written up a short one here, and will edit it for clarity if need be.

Thank you so much for playing, and I hope that's able to help some of your troubles!
Woah how did I miss this? I liked the first one!

To be fair, there isn't much to see as I'm still plodding away at this one. But I'm grateful for that and I hope you'll enjoy this one as well, whenever in the distant future I finish...
