Dule - Is That "Duel" or "Do lay"? well it doesnt seem "Dull" XD

No Matter on how this game is pronounced, it was a pretty good experience throughout, though it IS a short game, and i am not one for them, Nonetheless i shall review this game and try to be fair as possible.

Story: okay, so from what i got from playing this game is that the girl you are escorting is a sorceress and she's out to save the world, obviously with being sure that she will never return, which seems pretty damn grim if you ask me.

personally i wished i had seen more emotion from her, but she seemed without any even as she stated that she left her child behind to basically save the world, you would think that she'd sound sad, cry some even, but no so i cant say it was a great story.

Gameplay: well no surprise that it's the default RTP, especially since it's a game that was made on a short schedule, but it works as the battles arent too drawn out, they are quick and easy fights with a good variety of monsters to beat, the Boss of the game however was way too easy and quickly taken out with 3 Ice III Spells, i would've liked a more epic looking boss who could take a lot of punishment.

And the Maps were okay, had a nice variety of locales so it didnt get stale at anytime.

Sound: well what can be said about it? it's from the RTP as well but it wasnt ever offensive or annoying, so i cannot complain.

Overall i think it is pretty solid for being a quickly shelled out submission for an event, i wont be playing it again as i have no reason to really, but that doesnt mean that it's bad, it just is a "one and done" kind of game.

Good Job Creator, i will give it a 3, would've been more if emotions were conveyed in the story, but i digress.

Thanks for the review. I do wish that Dule could have turned out better, but with the constraints of the event and my knowledge of gameplay design/writing (at the time) there wasn't much to be done about it.

it's ok, i understand what you was going through while making the game, still it was good for what it was, and i'm not one for short games so i dont make the best judge for them.
I must say that out of all the games in the contest I found Dule's world by far the most immersive. If you ever expand this project or create a sequel then I would be very interested in playing it.
