"Violeta goes to the Dentist" is a game about .. can you guess it? Going to the dentist! It clearly is aimed at children and illustrates what bad brushing does to your poor teeth friends and how healthy food can defeat evil.
You can even save at tooth fairies.

So the adventure starts ..

You wake up in your room to find yourself helpless with a throbbing tooth. Even your tea party cannot make it go away, so you do what you can best : cry for help.
And so it comes that you visit the magical dentist to see just what oh what is wrong with your teeth!

And have people tell you how awesome going to the dentist is. I think it is a little bit too much with everyone telling you how awesome the dentist is, how much they "love going to the dentist", but it definitely is cute and creates a positive vibe for the environment.

You then are warped into your teeth-town and behold the troubles of a cavity in your teeth. With smoddering vile slimes dirtying it, and a great evil drilling at your house.

What this game does as a fact is teaching you to brush properly - that is, to brush all sides of your teeth, not just one. It also explains that you can still get problems with your teeth even if you brush it daily that way.
And I find this is a simple, but important lesson to learn as kids tend to forget that.

NOOOOOO!

The aesthetics are quite beautiful with custom teeth, custom portraits and RTP insides. Even if you can walk over some objects in the later rooms. The voice acting is .. okay for all I can tell. I cannot understand it, but it suits the cute environment and is surely a good idea for children. It also covers up the lack of background music. There are a couple of typos, however, and/or translation errors. But not enough to distract you from the game.

The inhabitants of the teeth houses are in peril and especially the white-haired one has nothing more to do than to ask for help. His voice acting was the one I found rough to listen to as well, so I find him a little bit annoying.
Off you go to clean your teeth!

There is little filler in this game as you proceed to search for healthy food.
On the one hand choosing fruit over cake and coke is a smart choice, because it is a viable, sweet and tasty alternative. On the other hand, many products are advertised with fruit, the "sugar of fruit" or are made with them as a "base" but certainly are not healthy. Not to mention that dried fruit and others should not be the base of your diet. So that could be a little bit misleading and should be clarified as fruit in their natural form.
(can't blame any kid for not wanting to chew on cucumber all the time)

And with that we return to our daily life, the real one, with the dentist super-cleaner hero and a reason to care about our teeth beforehand.
Well, I feel the prophylaxis is not something learned or promoted throughout the game. There is no dialogue beforehand that explains that she could have easily come to him to be taught how to take care of her teeth. Nor is there any real motivation to do so anymore, as you have "already learned" how to take care of them.
It does make for a sweet finish, though. Showing that she has learned to care.

All in all does this game make a great job of promoting teeth health without being too preachy or without drawing from scary teethpictures. The ones with completely destroyed teeth, yeah those. They don't motivate anyone.
As such it is a very simple, cute game that is even fun for the few minutes it lasts.
Makes me care about my teeth more.
