SYNOPSIS

Following the events of the first installment, you return to the land of Labyronia, now in the cold grip of an evil force. Roam the war torn lands. You are the only one who can save the planet from destruction. The epic sequel to the critically-acclaimed Labyronia.

10 years have passed since the hero of Labyronia fulfilled the Dark Prophecy.

This hero, Arres, fought back against the four elemental beings, invading their strongholds across the land. He helped dismantle the armies of monsters that had trampled the countryside and devastated the centers of human power.

Backed into a corner, the elemental beings used their weapon of last resort: a power so bleak that it threatens to suck the life from the planet itself.

The world has gone cold, and dark. The sky is completely clouded over. Dangerous ice wraiths attack any living being that comes near them. The elemental beings cloister in their fortresses, waiting to pick humanity's bones.

It's up to the last band of human survivors to find the power to reverse this apocalypse. If they should fail, the world will be left an eternal frozen wasteland.

Always up for something that sounds atmospheric. Downloaded it, so expect a review... in a couple of months, the way things are going.
Managed to get into Solthurn Tower, but the puzzle with the black hexagrams is very frustrating, because you have to get all four characters around them.
Why can't you be teleported back to the beginning of the floor instead to the floor before the first hexagram-puzzle? I managed to get to the third stage of this puzzle, but the middle of this floor is impossible to master.
Or just make the last 3 Charakters untouchable or invisible for the hexagrams (similar would also help with earlier puzzles).

And is it wanted that the etheral sleep instandly kills? With bad luck the whole party could be killed with one attack.

The hexagram thing is HARD, admittedly. To be honest, I have troubles making it through that third part myself without supreme frustration. However, it is possible. You just need to think very carefully how to move that "chain" of the party.
Thank you for playing my game :)

I'm handycapped and not so fast with reflexes. And when you have to do the whole puzzle again and again, it's extreme frustrating. In the middle of the third stage I tried to move to the side as soon as possible, but it didn't work. And then you have to do the other stages again...
Perhaps you admit saving everywhere in this puzzle or teleport back to the beginning of the stage (not the beginning of the puzzle).

The game itself is very good.
The first labyrinth is huge but the "treasure" pointing isn't helpful because it shows you max. 3 (empty) chests. I think I got every chest, but I can't be sure.

Yeah.. it shows three chests, also the ones that has been emptied already. It's nice to hear you've been enjoying the game, despite of the frustrations with the hexagrams x) It really is designed to challenge the player at that point.

Random thoughts

the story execution seems bad...after leaving the town anyway.it seems you need to head east after leaving town to meet up with windir.
but its odd you never suggested or hinted at this so the meeting felt awkward like you weren't supposed to be here yet.
then mixed feelings of mentioning a priestess in the way it was done.

i swear if theres another pointlessly huge area im gonna be mad!

ok now i really hate the open world mapping

i hate nobles...why can we never kill them...

if windirs the god of air why does he have thunder spells

why does windirs thunder X only hit one enemy!? i demand all!

ok i cant handle this im done

Yeah this started with potential but became incredibility annoying after the start.
between the mapping and the noble scum...it became unbearable to continue with this.
so bad aside what points did i enjoy.
the notes were pretty, your actually rewarded for exploration and...thats about it.

Overall
Did not enjoy. recommended to time wasters

Thanks for your opinions.
Hello there, I think that overall this is a good game. I've seen a lot worse than this.

I like the characters and the balance, the story is not bad, there's a good sense of progression and exploration.

Let me point out a few things that I would change/improve if I were you:

1) A couple of zones have a too high rate of random encounters: The Elven Prison where you go free Dynion the first time and the Abyss room before the northern exit (the one that you need to have the pickaxe to proceed). These two are incredibly frustrating and not in line with the rest of the game in terms of encounter rate, if I were you, I'd make encounters (way) less frequent in those two zones.

2) Bechus gives only 4000 exp. How come? Shouldn't he give 40000 instead? Doesn't make much sense that he gives less than some random encounters and way less exp than previous bosses.

3) The Quizzer boss at the arena is way too punishing for people who are not 100% paying attention to the lore of the game and skip some text or don't explore everything. You may want to change that "Wrong answer" from an instant kill to something that just makes the fight harder, but still possible.

4) This has probably been pointed out already, but characters that follow you trigger failure in certain puzzles (like in the Elven Palace, that was place was a nightmare because of it). This is especially troublesome for The Ice Giant field treasure chests if you don't get them right away but return later with 4 party members, I know it's still doable, but I don't see why I should be penalized for that. If I were you I would either make the followers "untouchable" or just remove their sprites altogether and have only Garic's. It would make things a lot less painful.

5) I've been in two situations where I saw messages from characters that were not there.
During the fight against Armagen's Aspect to free Ann from the nightmare in the abyss, a message from Windir pops up saying that there's no time to waste, however he was not in party. Also, when I got out of the abyss the first time, and returned to the human town where the former arena champion lives, while speaking to an NPC that says "may the fire god bless you" I got a reply from Dynion, even though he wasn't in party either (at the time he's in the hall of madness).

A final plight to help me finish the game:

I'm currently stuck at the halls of mirror in Armagen's Castle and I really have no idea what to do to progress though. Unless you give me the solution or a strong hint to it, I don't think I'm gonna finish the game, because I've been at hit for 30 minutes and still can't manage to understand what I need to do to get past this spot. I suspect that only someone who has played Labyronia 1 (I didn't) will easily understand what each character relates to.

But overall, I have to say that I enjoyed this game, and I thank you for making it and providing me a few hours of enjoyment, cheers!

Hall of Mirrors solution:
Hall of Mirrors solution: Belet= Arrogance, Ann= love, Garic = friendship, Buchis= power, Soltriste = golden memory, Windir= father, Dinyon= old man, Bob(the arena guy) = good will. You have to look in the mirrors in the order the guy in the hall spells out the names.

Nice to hear you've been enjoying the game, and overall your critique was spot on :)

Edit: Update notes
-Reduced encounter rates in the Hidden Dungeon and Abyss North route areas
-Adjusted exp rates for certain bosses (for example, you now get 15 000 from Buchis instead of 4000)
-Fixed the strange character messages where certain party members were not around.

cannot figure the puzzle at ice shrine
Spoiler to this puzzle here:
To solve this puzzle, you should start from the blue floor tile on upper right corner. Then move to the left, on the yellow tile. Next, move on the blue tile below it. Now, go right on the yellow tile. Now, get yourself on the blue tile below this one, and then left on the yellow. Now, go down on the blue tile, and finally on the yellow on the lower right of the puzzle. Remember that you can't step on any other tiles (or break the order mentioned) on as you complete this route.

hello.
how do you help the ill girl.
she ill with the cold.
Here is the answer:
You need to buy a Purple Root from Meldor Shelter's merchant. You can hand it over to the girl's husband after you've done the jobs for the other two nobles.
hello how do you do the puzzle.
on the 4 floor.
keep teleported to the first floor.

Is this about the staircase in that elven palace? If so, you just gotta dodge those hexagrams in a way that no member of the group touches 'em. There's also in one floor a tapestry on the wall which you can remove and teleport to the start of the next floor. Hopefully this helps, the hexagram-teleporting scene is pretty tough!
first I like to thank you for the solution for ice shrine(was starting from bottom instead of top).but now stuck again, top floor of Solthurn Tower.room has switches on floor, but can't figure out what to do.

nevermind(figured it out)
can you tell me the solution.
for the switches doorz.
There was a map way back in the building we started this hellish trip in.but it goes like this.
starting on the bottom by door walk straight up and step on those 3 switches, then the top right, then the bottom left

hope that helps you
no can do.
do you step on 5 switches or 7.
5 switches:
there is three in middle row and two on either side.walk straight up on the 3 switches, all the way to top.then switch on right top, then switch on left on bottom.
