Everybody dreams sometimes...

If you have a dream, even the worst nightmare, that leaves you sweating on your bed, it's nothing unique.
If you dream about the same thing twice - it still can happen.
But what if days go by and the dream keeps coming back and you feel, like it's calling you?

Jacob decided to follow his dream. It sounds naive, it sounds crazy.
Maybe it's just a cause, to go on an adventure, maybe it's something more.
Something deeper, darker, that burns your soul.
Something that crawls inside you, but you don't know what it is.

Jacob's Last Dream is an adventure game, that tells a story of Jacob, who embarks on a journey
to understand his dreams. We meet him when he is already on the road and clouds are begining to clear.
The main goal of the game is to tell a interesting story set in immersing world.

  • Come to know a complex story, that evolves into what the hero could not have predicted.
  • Solve varied puzzles, which demand thinking, observation and skill.
  • Music in the game consists of original tracks composed for this project.
  • Graphics based on RTP, with dozens of reworks and original additions.
  • High quality sound effects.

And yes, the crows are relevant;)

Looks cool! Is this a horror game? Subbed!
Thanks! It's not a horror game, more a like mystery mixed with adventure. Few creepy moments are predicted to be present, though;)

Random thoughts

i guess it cant be helped the main character opened his window which was right next to his bed during winter and went to sleep.
so he died before morning.

did not like pretty much due to length and no other reason at this time.
Thanks for your opinion.

It's a introductory demo, so it wasn't supposed to be long.
And why do you think it's winter?
Take care!
Hey, good people,
check out the new demo I've uploaded today.

So how long is the newest demo?
It should take about half an hour to finish.

I'll wait for it to be a bit longer then. Good luck.
I downloaded the demo and played through it. Here are some of my thoughts:

- I am genuinely intrigued by the story and learning more about the guy mentioned at the end (I'm terrible at names, so sorry I forgot his).
- The Hint system is great for people who want a more casual experience, who just want to enjoy the story for what is it and focus less on the puzzle aspects of Jacob's Last Dream. So kudos to you for adding that in.
- I know this is a small touch but putting the player back at the beginning after jumping through those holes was very much appreciated. I would have been lost navigating back through there.
- My only complaint was the dialogue. The writing was good but the grammar could have been better. I mean, it conveys the story well enough but it could be improved by having it flow better or just using different wording.
- The music, or at least the one song that plays, is simply amazing. Great job there.
- The mapping was also nice and I was impressed by how it changed (I'm sure you know what I mean) after that one scene.
@Carvonica Thank you very much for your comment. It's uplifting, when you see that people understand and appreciate these little touches and conveniences I've put here and there. I'm also very happy you liked the music, as it's written by me. About what you think could be better - thanks for the tip and I will improve. Take care!
