Tips

1. You can skip cutscenes with CTRL, so if you died from a boss or replaying the game, you can skip cutscenes.

2. Avoid fighting Mushrooms until you get Bernist, when you get Bernist, use Burst on them.

3. If you don't like active time, you can disable it via the ATB menu option.

4. Scan every enemy, make sure you know what their weakness and resistance is.

5. DO NOT START WITH SCAN WHEN FIGHTING BOSSES LIKE SWIFFY AND LAX, make sure you stun them first!

6. The difficulty between Forest of the Shrines and Mt. Volcanic are different, make sure you're prepared for Mt. Volcanic.

7. To fight the super boss in Forest of the Shrines, you must interact with every torch inside the forest.

8. To fight the super boss in Mt. Volcanic, you must interact with every gravestone inside Mt. Volcanic. However the super boss is not finished and instead you will be given a reward for reaching it.

9. Talk to NPCs, you can find some hints, items or side quests.

10. Don't spam attack in battles, that won't work.

11. Use the Plant Ups immediately, do not save them.

12. Fight every enemy you come across, never be under leveled kids.

13. Reminder that you can jump over stuff with A.

14. You cannot jump in buildings.

15. Use Limits on bosses, they each have a status effect.

16. Save at every save crystal, do not skip any. If you see a save crystal, most likely you will trigger a important cutscene (like a boss fight) in the next room.

17. Make sure to purchase new armor/weapons when you encounter a new town.

18. Stock up on items, not many appear in dungeons!

19. Locked chests are green, you must find a key in order to open it.

20. Brown chests have traps in them, you must have a Trap Barrier in order to by-pass the trap.

21. The level cap in 50, though in each update it will increase.

22. When an enemy uses counterattack, stun them.

23. Save crystals can also be an item, although they can only be used once.

24. Use stances at your advantage.

25. You may have to skip multiple times in a single cutscene.

26. You can change the smoothness of the camera via the Camera options in key items.

27. Sell any loot you obtain from enemies, they're not crafting items.

28. Read the Tutorial Book when you first obtain it.

29. You can store your money in a bank. Banks are in every town.

30. Check every house in every town.

31. You do not keep Fern, Vamp and Robert, don't use Plant Ups on them!

32. If a NPC has a ellipse icon, it means that it's a side-quest.

33. If you're lost, read the synopsis journal.

34. You can get extra equipment from enemies.

35. If you're having a tough/easy time, then you can change the difficulty.

36. ATB makes the game harder, if you want it to be easier, switch to default.

37. You can earn some TP back by using Refresh.

38. Before fighting Lax, make sure you have the skill Frozen Blade.

39. Purple crystals can give you a buff like more money, 10 potions, 2 power plants or 2 defense plants.

40. Check your currency at some points, your wallet has a limit. If you're over the limit, put some money in the bank.

41. If you want to see your opponents stats, you can press shift when selecting an enemy. Although you may not see every stat, you have to scan them first.

42. The super boss in Hyvelia Fields is also not finished, you will be given a reward for reaching it however.
