Chain Trappers - Jail Time is a sort of action game intended for two people.
You are in jail, policemen wanna murder you. You wanna murder them first.

This is a very simple game .. two characters, two types of enemies (white shirt - slow, red shirt - fast), with two music tracks accompanying it.
You can move both by yourself, or one player each.

I did not like the title screen music much, but the ingame music has some buildup, some ominous but also some relaxed cool flair too it.
The aesthetics are as simple as need be. There are some simple effects, the subtitle is written in Paint characters, but it is all very functional.

You may wonder why police men show up when you are trapped in place, why they look all the same or keep spawning endlessly ..or why the electric fence next to solid walls does not harm you in the slightest (it gives off a nice buzz!). It is obvious it simply was never given any thought, and has no focus on such nonsense.

The actual gameplay is what makes this a fun ride for a few minutes - your two characters are chained together by the neck, as is custom in any well-kept prison.
You have a limited reach, and any enemy touching said chain will die instantly.

Touching enemies directly will make you lose health for one character. Each character has three hearts, and will be knocked out for a bit losing any more. If both are knocked out, it is game over and you can try to gain a better score next time.

What this chain means is simply that you can drag each other around (as opposed to freezing in place when two people pull), unless you are very close to one another. This makes it a weird guessing-game on how far the chain reaches, and you best move to get to where you want.
You can hardly predict your fluid movement, nor the one of your partner, so this makes for an amusing confusion game. You bounce back and force, spin around without too much of a direct influence.

You will die eventually and wonder how you got these points in the first place. It is a lot of fun to aim for higher scores .. or drag each other to hell. Your score is displayed on a corner next to your health on the bottom of the screen.
It would be easier to keep track off if they were displayed on the top portion, but no matter.

Esc will end the game to the title screen, and so will clicking on an arrow on the left corner of the game, which makes me wonder why this second option was added in the first place.

What it comes down to is a silly coop experience or you playing both characters if you so choose. It may not be a refined experience, but it is quite some fun, even if it is just the short-lived silly one.
