From the mind that brought you Tales from Zilmurik comes a story of commitment, trials, decadence and trust. Upon the doorstep of the world's stage emerges an evil the likes of which the world has yet to see; a man whose corrupted steel casts a shadow over many under his order who are set to strike and claim dominion of the realm of Maelnutrek. But instead of conquest through the deaths of thousands, he instead entertains the thought of turning all opposition into defenseless animals that he might use for future gain to further his kingdom.

You, a defiant but strong paladin, along with your beloved, have fallen victim to his practices and found yourself in the confines of his prison. Through a crack in the air and whisps of otherworldly magic, your body changes. Your humanity slips away quickly and you are stripped of your name, reduced to simple house pets. Later cast out into the rain-soaked fields to wallow in your misery, you must find any means to survive and perhaps find justice for those like yourself who have become enslaved to the "wicked man". Finding a blank name tag on a collar around your neck, undoubtedly a "present" of this man, you carve upon it a new name to call your own and start out on your quest.

"With reaffirmed identity, you step out into the world to reclaim your voice. It is at this most trying time that any honest friendship sown is of vital importance to survival. Never forget this."

Thus begins your chapter of Feral Solidarity.

7/27/17 Bug Fixes/Changes

• You can no longer get stuck in the Shapeshifting Orb by using it while inside the Transformation menu.
• The wolf no longer appears as a dragon if you didn't give him the Shapeshifting Orb during the end of the game.
• Your skillset is reset to proper Were form status after being transformed by the wolf during the end of the game.
• A treasure chest has been added to the Fisherman's Shack map outside of the City Ruins.

The main download has been updated to reflect these changes and a new "No RTP" download has been added for those who have RPG Maker VX Ace and/or its RTP on their computer already. I'm also heavily considering adding optional Were form content in the form of an expansion pack to the game now that it's free-to-play.

It did. I felt it was important to start fresh for this release.
Anyone playing this game? I'd be happy to donate some money if I could figure out what I'm doing. :-) I'm in the city ruins with the dog and his goat form and the cat and her chicken form. I can't get anywhere because I need some different shape. How do I get it?
Never mind. I got the next shape and am on my way. Until the next time I get stuck.

Good luck.
Downloaded and finished it yesterday. I enjoyed it! Fun to play, great mapping, though easy to overpower your heroes; still, I feel that was an option intentionally left to player-choice. It was well done.

Am I supposed to be able to use the bunny transformation to hop over the corpse of the General after I beat him and go through the big crack in the wall behind him? because I can't get to the crack, I can't jump over the bodies and I can't find a way around the bodies. I am assuming that the altar where a calf is sacrificed the wolf in the cave mentions is past the General's corpse. I have looked everywhere for somewhere to go and that seems to me to be the only way forward, but I can't get past the bodies.

Once you beat the general and have obtained the bunny transformation, you're free to leave the area and start on the next leg of the journey.
oh I see, the bunny can climb the rubble blocking the mine... I saw that the rubble was still there and not removed and for some reason thought that meant it was still somewhere that I could not go... now I feel silly.
I think I found a few bugs, when I enter the transformation orb my hp and mp get refilled to full, making most of the consumables to buy absolutely pointless.

This one is really easy to avoid, but if you use the shape-shifting orb while already inside the shape-shifting orb, you can not get out. I had to quit and load a previous save to get out.

Is the wolf supposed to be a dragon when he attacks the fortress if you refuse his help? Because he is a dragon to me and I can't figure out how HE transformed when the orb is still in my possession.

Also why do I still have dragon force after being turned back into the beastman base forms when I gave the wolf the orb? Is it because I was in dragon mode at the time?

Lastly, just to sate my curiosity, is there an ending where you get the wicked man to turn you back? I got the ending in the town where the dog turns back into a man, but I am curious if there is an ending where you see yourselves turn back. Also curious about if you can ever get into the beach house by the ruined city because I could never get in and it was saying something about "was that a shadow?" making me think something is in there. And in the images tab there is a giant red dragon near the secret frog in the animal cave, how do you get the dragon?

Anyway, I a lot of fun playing, great game!

This was intentional so that the differences in HP limits between classes don't negatively affect the player's ability to survive the dungeons. It was either make the game too easy or make it needlessly difficult. I went with the former.

Ouch. That was a massive oversight. If I ever get around to making an updated version, that's definitely going to get fixed because I can see that going south fast.

Once again, another oversight. I could've sworn I only set that event to play if you agreed to help him, but clearly I'm mistaken.

This was an oversight in the benefit of the player, though probably should've been fixed during testing. While it's cool that you can set your female character to a cow before agreeing to help the wolf - therefore allowing you use of a free healing item spawning skill - it would be better if the world made actual sense above all else.

I created the ending to establish a hope for the future instead of an immediate result. I felt it would have a longer lasting impact if not all the threads were tied up at the end. This same approach was taken with Mystic Dawn, though in a way that's relevant to that game's plot.

That place was created just to fill space. I probably could've done something more with it (like adding a treasure chest), but how the game's designed leaves very little to add.

You'll meet that dragon if you complete the game without spending any survival points. It's possible if you use the free healing of the animal cave and the cow transformation and get all your power-ups as random drops from fighting enemies, but it's a much longer and harder route to take than beating the game normally. I've done it myself, but once is enough for one lifetime.

I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless of the previously mentioned oversights. I wish I could do more for the game now that it's free-to-play, but it's not high on my list of priorities. Perhaps someday.
Loving this game but completely stuck in the pyramid... I'm sure it's something really stupid that I'm doing wrong but I can get all the way to the statues and nothing is happening?? :(

Please help!!

Also, again... Love the game <3

Thank you so much for playing the game and enjoying it. =)

To help you out on the Temple of Fallen Deities, you'll want to use the Ram and Rabbit transformations to open new paths. Hope that helps!
