8 years has passed since Kefka was defeated,the world is slowly starting to recover from the damage it took on judgement day. The shape of the world will never go back to what it once was, but there is hope: water is bluer, grass is greener and forests have grown in size. Towns have begun to recover and some nations are flourishing, specially Figaro, Led by King Edgar. Though monsters and bandits still roam, the world knows peace. However recent events may threaten this hard earned peace, for rumors of a faceless, nameless army with no banner but deadly as a plague, that has begun to attack cities around the world wielding machinery horrifically similar to Magitek are spreading fast.
Who can this army be? And most importantly, how can they wield magical powers if magic is gone from this world? The world may yet again need heroes to rise and defend it.

About the game:
-All playable characters from the Original FF6 return
-There are new, fully original playable characters
-Siegfried is playable
-New Original Rage System for Gau, complete with Leaping on the Veldt
-New abilities and skills for all characters
-A very special sidequest that will play parallel to the main story with many surprises, cameos and easter eggs.
-Maps are either exactly the same or very similar as the ones in FF6
-The entire graphical aspects of the game will make you feel like you are playing ff6
-Music from ff6 and other ff´s
-Revamped Colosseum

I know it has been some time since the last post, I was wondering how this is going? I am not good at this stuff but I am sure the community here can help if you need it.
Yeah, I ran into some major setbacks (but not on the developing end, they are more on the personal side). But I haven't quit on the game, in fact, I'm currently working on it, and I have gone much further than this last demo published here. I divided the game in 8 parts. Currently, part 1 is 100% done and part 2 is like 50%. It may seem that there is very few content done, but in fact part 1 is the longest one to make because you start from 0 and have to make most maps. All the subsequent parts use already made maps and all they really need are events. As for help, the only help I could use right now is a working script for Sabin's blitzes, I've tried and failed before.

I downloaded the RTP and tried to run the game but its still saying the file vehicle cannot be opened.
I really love Final Fantasy VI and I think this one would be an awesome game I hope you get this bug fixed soon.

Don't know why I'm answering a 3 year old comment, but on the off chance you are still active: yes, there's been progress since that demo. I'd say the game is 45% done. I divided the story in 7 segments, or the script, if you will, and I'm currently at the third. However, measuring progress by story is also not entirely accurate as many maps just need to be done once, and most of the systems and mechanics are also done (not all). It's impossible for me to know when it will be finished, but it will be. At this point in my life I consider this my hobby project and its a goal. Thanks for saying that you loved it. I am thinking un uploading another incomplete but incremental demo.
