Dezz123 plays and reviews Legionwood:
First of all, I'd like to say that I've always liked the look of Legionwood since I saw it progress. It has an interesting storyline, concept and gameplay, along with added bonus features which help drive the player to want to continue playing.

Storyline:
The storyline of Legionwood seemed a little cliche to me, as about the Gods and it seemed easy to guess some of the storyline and characters, but it also seemed quite unique too. It begins with a young male and his sister, who don't have a mother and father, planning to go and see a ceremony in on honour of the King's baby daughter's birth. From then on it's a rocky road to save the world from a terrifying foe, unlocking important secrets throughout. It's a gripping storyline, and it leaves the player thinking what's going to happen next mostly. It's exactly what you'd hope for in a fantasy-themed RPG.
Storyline Rating: 9/10.

Gameplay:
The gameplay of Legionwood is quite solid compared to some other games, and it has special, unique qualities which help bring out the 'JRPG' genre the game was made to be. However at the start the enemies were really tough to beat, and you'd be struggling to survive a few turns in battle, when you progress you may have to grind, but it's still not boring. Dark Gaia has managed to keep the player interested in the battles, with all the 'Techs' in the game, and leaves you with many options on how to take down your foes.

A unique feature in Legionwood would have to be the Points Spend System, where you're able to upgrade your characters' parameters spending AP won from battles. This is a really good idea, as it allows the player to have the characters the way they like, so they find the characters easier to use.

It's quite a long game, with my playthrough time reaching up to 20 hours, and you'll love every minute of playing it. There wasn't any problems I had whilst playing the game (I played Build 4.1(I think)), and I had to play it again.
Gameplay Rating: 9/10.

Characters:
The characters were all thought up perfectly, each with their own minds, personalities and actions. Dark Gaia must have put a lot of effort into designing them and their personalities, as from the start they fit into what you'd expect to see. Brother and sister sticking by each other, with a few comical words thrown in to cause the other to be annoyed. Exact brother/sister relationship most have.
Ark and Alexis are also made well, with Alexis willing to follow Ark to the end of the world after something he did in the past, and you can see the bond they both have.
Characters Rating: 10/10

Graphics and Font:
The graphics were a little custom. Legionwood still had the RTP being used in it frequently, but it had been edited or recolored, and it also had new tiles added in. The initial graphics of Legionwood fit each other rather well, and helped bring out the 'Fantasy' type theme Dark Gaia was aiming for. The way he managed to make the RTP show in it's best layout was fantastic and it shows just how much effort was thought into each map.

The character sprites and faces were mostly made by Kyoto Kaduki, and each faceset matched the sprite he used with them perfectly. The additional pictures that were hand-drawn of the characters was utterly gorgeous, and well thought about, as the images matched the terrain and the characters well.

I didn't really like the Windowskin at first, but eventually it grew on me, and I began to not mind it. It was simple, clean and suitable for the game and the font of the game.
The font was easily readable and simple, with it being a system font, and it was decent in it's own accord without being shown off.

Graphics and Font Rating: 8/10

Audio:

I didn't really like the audio much, as the tracks seemed to become boring, such as the Battle BGM. They weren't all boring though, and each audio piece matched the initial map, cutscene or system SE well. None of the pieces were extremely overused aswell, so they didn't become majorly boring anyways. However, I found some of the Animation SE's a little off what the animations show, but that doesn't seem too much of a problem.
Audio Rating: 6/10

Overall:
From the moment I saw Legionwood as it was developing, I subscribed and began watching as it's status slowly made it's way to completion. I've played Dark Gaia's other games, like One Night and Tales of Worlds, and when you play Legionwood you'll be able to see the huge improvement of his skills from Tales of Worlds to Legionwood. I highly recommend people who are into playing JRPGs, or any fantasy-themed RPG to try this, so they can see what RPG Maker VX talent is.
Overall Rating: 8/10 or 4/5.

This is a good review, you should write more!
Haha, thanks calunio. :D
I will do, as I promised Deckiller I'll review his.
Then I'll do your Marvel Brothel.
Yes, this was good for a first review, if perhaps a little too kind (I would have given the game 3 and a half). It did present your sentiments pretty well however.
Dark Gaia you are a bit to modest,Face it Kid,you got some real chops.
