-----------------------------------GAME RATING---------------------------------

Most of the game is teen rated, but there are a few parts that will make it for mature audiences only. I have no pictures of nudity, violence, or gore, I do have descriptions of such things. There are a few scenes that have the following, that would make it M rated.

*Strong Language, Strong Violence.
*Sex, Rape, Murder

If you can't handle those things being vividly depicted through words, then you should not play my game.

This game details the journey of two young conscripts in the Royal Army, Karnac and Larz. Larz being the prince of the Capitol, and Karnac being a close friend.
Kildran is a brilliant and beautiful orator whose words can move any audience, and he uses his gift to create the spark that leads to war between peasant and noble. Kildran wasn't a threat, until recently, when a mysterious mage known only as "The Robed Man" began to lead his Peasant Army. The Robed Man is his most powerful agent, and where ever he goes, death and destruction follow. Karnac and Larz are sent on missions by their king to aid the royals in different ways, and eventually, they are captured by a powerful assassin who works for Kildran, called Shadow. Shadow takes them to the magical lands of the Slatos where they meet the powerful Arch-mage, who tells them of a way to overcome The Robed Man. They are to defeat and imprison the three elemental gods, Ifrit, Shiva, and Rammuh inside of their respective orbs. The plan is to combine the three into the powerful Orb of Divinity, and use it's power to confront and defeat The Robed Man.

Karnac: A brash, hot-headed womanizer, who never misses a chance to flirt with a pretty woman.

Larz: The son of the king of the Capitol. He has sworn to always protect the weak, and he generally has a no nonsense attitude.

Jack: A once mighty and feared pirate. He turns out to be a lot like Karnac, except that he is not afraid to kill, and he's a heavy drinker.

Cecelia: A pretty, young white mage. Is pretty naive at times, and doesn't seem to understand crude humor very well, but quickly adapts to new situations.

Celeste: The princess of the Capitol, and sister of Larz. Her beauty is unsurpassed, and she still has the sweet innocence of youth.

Kildran: Leader of the Peasant Army. A talented orator, and very intelligent. Has long flowing white hair, and his very presence demands respect.

The Robed Man: A mysterious mage that brings death and destruction where ever he goes. Leads the Peasant Army under Kildran.

Shadow: A powerful assassin that works as the left hand of Kildran. Used to be the right hand, until the appearance of The Robed Man.

The Arch-Mage: The leader of the mage brigade, the most powerful unit of spell casters in the Slatos. Worked his way up to Arch-Mage from lowly beginnings.

-----------------------------------GAME PLAY--------------------------------

Over-all, this game was made for a more mature audience, high school age and above. I'd say ages 17-26.

*Game play is filled with some crude humor, especially sexual innuendos.
*Game play can be very silly at times, or very serious.
*I rely much more heavily on character-character dialogue than character-NPC.
*I've created each character to be unique and enjoyable to learn more about/hear more from.
*I've tried to avoid cliches as much as I can, and I know some quests will feel generic, but please keep in mind that I'm working only with the VX ACE default tools and music.
*I have around 10 hours of game play, and I want this game to be the first part of three games. But I will not do any further work unless this game is well received as it would be pointless since I'm doing this purely for player's enjoyment.

Author Update 7/23/2018

Game didn't do as well as I would have liked. I'm glad that some people played it and got enjoyment out of it, that's more or less all I wanted anyway. I know there were people who didn't seem to enjoy the dialogue or characters, they tell me the dialogue is long and boring and that they skip it all. I did spend a lot of time on it and it has been and always will be a personal project that I work on in my spare time. I'm not an artist, so I have very little creative freedom. I pretty much have to use the characters and artwork I've been given, and yet people still complain about that which is disheartening. Not only that but there is no built in word checker so when you have massive amounts of dialogue you will miss some typos, you can bring up spelling mistakes and I will fix them, but don't act condescending about it. All in all the game didn't do as well as I hoped, but that's ok, I'm still proud of what I made and I'd like to finish the story out eventually but I don't know when.

I have other projects I'd rather work on such as a pen and paper RPG that I can play with friends.

Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)

BOY, talk about CHEAP :)
Killing monsters and bandits sure is hard work when you don't get a whole lot exp. or gold for the job :)

All those barrels, pots, cabinets, clothes closets...and not a damn potion in the lot :(

If Liberty see this game, you might get a comment on the cabinets...they look a little odd, kind of like they are hanging from the wall?? She will explain how to fix that if I'm right or my eyes are just crossed from playing so long :) haha

Overall, I really enjoyed this so far. Got to the castle after beating up Jack..
now will have to see what happens when the Prince gets the bad news...
Downloading, will leave feedback soon.....
Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)
Chapter 1
8.5 hours and still playing :)
Damn, how long is this First Chapter :)

Aside from a few spelling/grammer errors, which don't really take anything away from the game since they are not many, I'm still enjoying this game very much.
I've also mentioned those cabinets :) looks like the bottom is a wedge stuck in the crack where the wall and floor meet and the top is leaning out into the room.

I'd say this game is well worth continueing with Chap. 2&3.....SO GET TO WORK :)

Yea, I had around 10 hours of game play when I tested it myself. Of course, I knew exactly what to do and where to go, so it could be longer for you guys. After you get the three orbs and combine them you'll be getting close to the end of the game. I think my dungeons get too long towards the end of the game, but I'm not sure. I wanted them to be long and challenging.
Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)
how about some powerups or postions in some of those pots and closets :(

It's not the dungeons or that are so hard.....it's looking in all those pots, barrels and closets, then coming up empty handed, that's so hard :)
3 hours in the game... I'm in the desert and have to kill the lord of bones. Here's what I have so far:

I want to know what you guys think of my battles. Are they too hard/easy, are they too frequent/infrequent, are the character abilities useful/useless, etc.

The battles are simple, but well balanced. Frequency is ok. Some abilities feel underwhelming like Karnac's Heavy swing, Wild swings outclass it because it's more damage for the same cost. Same for Jack's poison blade, backstab seems to outdamage it even if the poison works (rarely). It would be good if you gave the formulas for the other skills like you did with Larz heal.

I want to know what you guys think about my mapping. Does it look like a fifth grader did the mapping?
The mapping is very good, but I agree with Linkis, the cabinets are inside the wall this is odd.

I want to know what you guys think of my story. Do you hate the flashbacks? Do you think it's boring? etc.
It's good so far, I will comment again when I finish the game.

I want to know what you guys think of my characters and dialogue. Are they cliche? Is there too much dialogue? Is the dialogue bad, etc.

Karnac lines are hilarious.

I want to know your overall impression of the game. Is it cliche at times? Is it silly? etc.
It's good, but fairly standard.

I want to know whatever else else you feel is important enough to tell me about too.

-I think you should add some chests/items in the houses to reward exploration.
-Ifrit is in the random encounter list for the first continent in the world map, I guess it's a bug.
-I somehow managed to get in the capitol with jack in my party, check the events there.
Thank you very much Frozen_Phoenix for that feedback, I appreciate it. Thank you Linkis as well.

I fixed the bugs. Yea, I did the Ifrit one on purpose so I could get a screen shot for the game submission, but then I forgot to change it back to a slime, lol. I also fixed the Capitol bug that let you get in without losing Jack. It was because I widened the street and forgot to compensate for it. I don't think it's ready for a new release just quite yet, but maybe after I fix the cabinets and the lack of treasure.

Also, I think it starts to get a bit better after you get back from Olan. I started to develop my story a bit better, and I really enjoy the Pub scenes. Hopefully you'll like it. Also, there is a sex Easter egg in Sea Side. (after you get Jack) That's your reward for being awesome, now go find it guys! lol
7 hours in...

The plot gets a lot better after the events in Olan, makes you want to kill the robed man and his army of rapists lol.

The problem is with those dungeons. The fire dungeon was, like Karnac said, boring. It's too big and all about fighting lots of random battles until you reach the boss, I think you should make the dungeons smaller and add puzzles to them.

I'm in the middle of the ice dungeon now, will post again when I finish the game to give you my final thoughts.
Ok, just private message me for your thoughts about my story. I don't want to have spoilers, lol.
Yo, if you could make the Rating area in the description a bit more prominent so that people can see it at a glance, that'd be great. Usually people will skip over anything that isn't the main description and such things as rape/sexual content/violence tags should be easy to spot so people aren't taken by surprise, especially as the amount of games on the site with such content are limited and thus the norm is not expecting such things.

Also, moving the cabinets down one tile will fix the issue with them floating on the wall. See, the thing is that due to the 3/4 view of the tiles you can see that there is width in the cabinets, so when there's not space for them to be in front of the wall it looks like they're floating on the walls themselves. It's very weird and looks pretty wrong.
ok, I put the game rating at the top so it should be the first thing that gets read. I also fixed the cabinets in the last download so that's not a problem.
Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)
OK, I be stuck.
Was told to get the Fire Orb.

Found a Hall with a solid Dragon statue and the floor and walls cracked.

The team wanted to get back to the quest but I've not been able to find the
entrance to a cave which might have the Fire Orb......

Gotta be something I'm doing wrong.......WHAT IS IT :)
I made it a little hard to find on purpose, but if you are having trouble finding Ifrit's Chasm, here is a little map for you. Start at Dalith and follow the arrows to it.

Hi! I just downloaded your game and since you seem to need feedback, once I finish the demo I'll give you my thoughts on it. And maybe I'll give you a review later, but I warn you that since this is a demo, the review will go unrated. :)
Don't hate me cause I'm Cute :)
golly, I can't seem to find any lines like that on my game map.... :)
OK, back to hunting Ifrit and thanks for the directions.

@Llan14, the game is complete :)
The game is done already llan14. If I do anything else to it, it will only be bug fixes or game tweaks. Feedback for this game will mostly be for helping me to improve the other two games I have planned that will finish my story.
Oh, sorry! The Completed tag wasn't there when I looked before. :P
Well, I finished the first area of the game and explored some of Seaside Town, and the game's actually pretty good so far. Dungeons (the forests) were simple, but well made and combat is nicely balanced from what I got to play.

I don't have anything special to say about the sound since it's RTP (well, maybe that the music at the begining had a low volume for some reason), but the mapping was mostly good.

As for the story and characters, I haven't played enough as I said already, but I liked them this far. Especially the parts with Karmac involved. :P

I'll keep playing the game later, but for now, I'll say it started with the right foot! :)
Nice to hear that you like my main character. His personality is most heavily based off of mine, lol. It should pick up after you get done in Olan. Jack is my favorite character, and I always have fun writing dialogue for him, so hopefully you like him too.
