It's been a year

I can't believe it has been a year since I've made a blog post. That doesn't mean I haven't work on this game since that time. I'm very busy right now and I will be busy for the next year but I try to work on this game when I get the chance.

There has been a lot of development. Here is a list to let you know how far I am:

- The full overworld is almost done with a few tweaks here and there. It's big, not huge. I want every screen to be unique and alive. I want to invite the player to explore without letting him wait to long. There will be a total of 5 city/town/villages in the game and every single character walking in those places have a unique look.

- I also need to implement just one more boss battle. There will be a total of 8 unique bosses (not including the normale battle bosses) that you have to beat in a unique way. Using your special items to find the weak spot. I've treated every boss as a single project on his own. I want the player to look forward to see how the next boss will look like. That's why I won't spoil these bosses as less as possible, just to experience them yourself. But they gonna be awesome.

- I have now implemented 2 mini games. You can visit them in one of the locations. My goal was to combine the environment of the location and the mini game in one map. I think the result is very cool and thanks to a talented Ruby programmer, they play great.

- There are now (not the bosses counting) a total of 15 unique enemy sprites with each and every one having an attack animation. And we are still counting. All unique sprites for this game are created by Avee.

- There are at least 17 unique pieces of music as music in the background. They were created, just for this game. Thanks to Ietsu and Thomas J. Peters.

- I also put a lot of focus on the menu screens. The programmer have changed a lot in these screens to make them easier to use and more enjoyable to look at.

My focus is on the dungeons right now. I want to make as many dungeons as possible with fast pasting puzzles. It's hard to make unique puzzles in RPG Maker XP but I think I will surprise some of you.

Hi! Good to hear from you. Turns out your demo is doing pretty good so far! Get a lot of notifications from your game. That's really great news. :)
Well it was all thanks to you bud. If it wasn't for you I never would've had the courage to release it, so I'm extremely grateful. You know how much I enjoyed Shinra Duel Adventures so I'm looking forward to whatever craziness you come up with next.

That really is a long time ago. I almost forgot how we got in contact. That's awesome! I'm happy that I could be a small part of your success. :)
