You are a Sa'Veri. You are tasked with guiding the souls of the dead from earth to the afterlife. It's all a pretty easy existence, crying and denial aside. Every so often, however, each Sa'Veri soul is given the task to live out the final months of a soul or a set of souls that touched the spirit world before dying, or committed an unrecognized heroic deed.

This is the account of one such case, where you must play out the final moments of a few souls associated with an old orphanage. Each was drawn there for one reason or another, but what they found there placed them in direct contact with the spirit world. In saving the souls found there and releasing them, they also became heroes.

In the 60's, an orphanage was closed down due to a number of occurrences. From abuse to neglect, many fear something much more inhuman was happening within these walls. For fourty years, nothing much happened with the orphanage. When many other buildings were torn down or converted, the orphanage seemed to somehow avoid any such plans. Now, however, it's drawing attention to itself once more. People are disappearing.

Play as one of two characters (with more characters available to unlock throughout) as you fight the nightmares of the house to uncover the truth of what happened... and what is still happening.

At current version:
Controllable Characters with complex ability sets: 10

Characters with complete back-stories: 5 with more being added every update
Characters you can actually play as at this point: 1 for now, still working through the actual story. I have the concepts and character arcs for the others set up though.
Average play time at current length: 45 minutes (and counting. May change depending on how much you like to mill EXP)

Hitting Blocks

So, I've been working on the game. Here's how it breaks down so far. You start off in an area where you learn a few mechanics, get some backstory, meet and chose your character, and then depending on who you chose, you go to their respective home or starting point. I currently am working at it from the Female Path only. I figure it'll narrow it down a bit from trying to event everything from both characters at once and keep track of everything. Here's where my blocks lie. I need Artists. There will be 8 separate realms. Each has their unique monster sets, which I am in the process of, and unique battlebacks and such.

The following are my realms as I am planning them out.

I don't think I'm quite ready to put out a demo yet, but I do have a good half hour of playable content. I'll put out the call for alpha testers soon, though. If you are willing to help me out with spriting, that would be glorious as well. I would love to not have to use stock or minimally altered images for my game.
