I'm pretty excited to play this, actually.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited to release this!
Cool! The design and layout kind of reminds me of Luxaren Allure a bit. One thing that's always confused are those roofs. Aren't those kinds of tiles supposed to be used for interior maps?

I assume you're planning on redoing the sprites later on? Cause those pixel densities definitely don't match up.

Good point. You're right that the roof tiles in this instance built off of LA, but I'm not aware of any set rule on how roof tiles are supposed to look. I figured that as long as they're consistent, the roofs should be fine.

Do they look bad? I'll see about putting in a simple texture if that's what they really need.

Absolutely yes. I was gonna do that anyway since the redesigns don't match their older sprites, but that's one more reason to the list.
They don't look bad, they just look like they're used incorrectly IMO. They look like they're made for interior maps and not exterior maps. It's the black stuff in the middle that makes it look wrong.

EDIT: To further explain my point, take a look at this map:

That's an interior map, isn't it? The fact that you use the same style of roof tiles for both interior AND exterior maps make no sense to me.

Fair enough. I'll redo the exterior roof tiles in the next update. Thanks for letting me know!
Yeah, I do think a lot of gamers associate black roofs with underground/interior maps. I can't help but subconsciously see this shot as depicting a subterranean village.
