Anirone is a game about a girl name “Anirone” who has been locked inside a house. She need to find a way to get out of her room by collecting several things in another world. There will be many obstacles along the way, and only you have the power to help her go through them all!!

General Details
- Use default RTP and some imported resources and scripts.
- Full of puzzles. Most of them are “extremely hard” to solve. Be cautious…
- Various ways to deal with things. Many choices for you to be chosen.
- Multiple endings. 4 Bad Ends , 2 Neutral Ends and 1 Good End. Only a good end is canon.
*(A “Good End” is “extremely hard” to get. It can be achieved in the first play-through technically. But not logically. It may required second or more time. And there are a lot of requirements to get the good end.)
- Average play time = 30-50 minutes.

Character

- Anirone : An ordinary girl that you control.

Anirone Guide

I will provide some hints here.

Bat chasing & The key :
After you've picked up the lamp, douse it in the pond?
in the first room and choose to dip the key in the water before picking it up.
After that, lit the lamp at the fire so that the bat wouldn't appear.

Door Password 1 :
Read the answer right away >
9098

If you only need some hints >
Push the boulder in the door with password room to the rightest part of the room with hanging corpse. After you got the vine and the sack, go down and push the boulder to the switch. After that, get the gold dust and pour it down the right hole at the left part of the big room three times. Jump down the hole and get the gold dust on the ground back into the sack. Put the sack on the switch. Go into the door room and read the paper on the iron spines on the two sides. Try flipping the paper (in your head or write it down in real life.).

Bat chasing 2 :
When the lamp is out, go back to the fire and lit the lamp again so that the bat won't show up.

Door Password 2 :

Read the answer right away >
569, or maybe 596...

If you only need some hints > Papers's location.

- Under the bed
- In a jar (dungeon)
- In a jar (house)
- In a black teddy bear (house)
- In a bottle (house)
- In a sack (house)

Try combining each piece of paper and flipping them in a more hellish way.

How to get a good ending :
Logically, it need at least second or third playthrough. You need every items (beside a lever and potions) to get it.

> Go to the right side of the gray room with two plants and use the blue chest key you got in the fire lantern in the first room to obtain the Soulstone (Use the sack to douse the water in the first room.)
> Use the Soulstone to the bat (HP below 50%, try attack 2-3 times without critical) or the bat demon (use it after throwing the fire lamp to it) when fighting
> Use the hammer to open the door in real house
> Use the lamp with fire to attack a man
> Use the sack (the same you used to get gold dust) to get the water in the house
> Pour it to the fireplace in the house to get the second key to the fantasy
> Give one of the key to the man and follow him
> Use the soulstone to the man (HP below 50%, try attack 2-3 times without critical) when fighting
> Survive the battle with the ghost
> Choose to change the character

Found all the pages but 6, and having trouble seeing what to do with them, so I could use a hint if you're willing. I feel like that puzzle, and the previous one like it, might be more manageable if the ragged edges of the paper were visible and the answer could be pieced together that way, but maybe it's just me having trouble with it.

As for the rest of the game so far:

I'm really enjoying the puzzles. I've seen "saving and loading are actually happening in-universe, so the protagonist needs to learn through dying" done before, but it's a fun device that makes learn-by-dying gameplay less frustrating and more enjoyable, so I'm liking it here. The gold dust puzzle was great - it was difficult to figure out, but all of the clues were there. There were a few bugs, which I don't remember in perfect detail, but which I could report back on after a second playthrough, if you'd be interested.

However, it feels like you were much more interested in making the puzzles than doing any of the other parts of the game. The characters, settings, story, etc seems like they're mostly there to contain the puzzles. That's okay, but some of the subject matter felt a bit discordant with the way it was presented. I'm not going to say that people should never write about rape, or even that people should never write about rape unless they're willing to devote the work at large to exploring the topic, but it feels out of place in an excuse plot. If all you want to do is make puzzles, then joining up with an existing team that wants a puzzle guy might work out better for you - plenty of games where the developers obviously cared about the story/characters/settings/art have absolutely dire puzzles, and could use someone with your skills.

About the paper puzzle,
Just try flipping them around and combined what you seem to be in pair. You'll get 3 digits. It was for the password door in the house.

And thank you for your advice about the ragged edges, but that would make that puzzle out of my intention
to make players to try flipping and re-arranging them around.

As for your opinion about the game, I'm so grateful for it :)

And yes please report bugs to me. I'm more than willing to know what were left. It's true as you said. I'm more into making puzzles in this game. But most of what in the game are still on my intention. The story and almost everything in the game are to be revealed in a good ending and a little bit in other endings. So, I'll talk about it later once you've seen it all *0* And I've tried my best to make it interpretable in a seem-to-be raping dialogues *+* He might just only touching her body maybe??. Setting that aside, my goal was to make a game by myself with everything I could do. So, this is the result of that. Sorry if it seems selfish. But, I'm trying my best to reach the players as well. I'll try your advice once I got a chance to make a new game in a team with a different goal.

Thank you very much for playing the game and gave me some advice!
Thank you for replying! May I have a hint for finding the last page?

Hi Goddialga,

Congratulations on this surprising "swing-between-saves" gameplay. It makes this game very challeging for my brain - maybe too much though, I admit I didn't find how to get the "90" part of the first code even after having read your hint. Additionally, I think there aren't enough save slots given this game's gameplay.

Sadly, I got a terrible bug. After having found the padlock key in the real house, I went to the main hall and I encountered the man. After the dialogue, he rushed at me and... the game froze.

Oh my god! Would you please give me an exact dialogue before the game froze? I'll look into it right away!

Thank you "Lirysse" for reporting me this bug!
I reached the second phase of the fight against the ghost.
...
How I am supposed to beat him ? He keeps confusing, making sleep, blinding, silencing, draining mana... Since I'm forced to bless me with the 25 mana spell to deal him damages, there's just a point where I can't deal damages anymore, since Anirone doens't do anything else that striking for nothing.

I guess that this fight is very long and requires an important amount of luck. That's a bit annoying, but it would be far less annoying if we were allowed to save just before this fight so that losing doesn't force us to DO AGAIN THE THREE FIGHTS BEFORE THE LAST ONE.

EDIT : Ok, I finally killed him. I understood that the only way to win was
to let him run out of mana so that he couldn't do anything but using basic attacks. Trying to attacking before that point was actually a mistake
. It still heavily relies on luck and is totally unfunny though, since the fight is one-sided and you can sometimes do nothing during ten turns in a row...

EDIT 2 : NO. NO. After having won the battle, Anirone and her dad returned to the true house and I got this bug... https://ibb.co/bTL7sa I had to battle again and, since I didn't get my HP and mana back after the first battle, I lost... Even if you fix this bug I'll have to fight again... Noooooooooooo

Thank you for reporting me the bug again. Please send me your save file. It's weird since I hadn't encountered this bug during playtest. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll send you directly to the scene after the battle. I'll fix it next month, though.

P.S. Did Anirone had a light sword before the battle?
That's not an occasional bug, I just got it again. Somehow I managed to win a second time but after the dialog between Anirone and her dad that they're supposed to have in the fantasy world, the game froze.

I didn't have the sword anymore. I used it two times so it broke.

I found how to send an image or a video, but not a save file... ^^''

Do you have a guide for all endings? I mean, all bad and neutral endings since you have one for the good ending.
Hey, Goddialga. Is this your preferred place to receive bug reports and the like for Anirone?

Anyway, there's a few I noticed in the 2.1 version hosted on itch.io:
  • The father's event sprite isn't always facing south in the hallway north of the house's gap-and-pond room (i.e.- he'll turn into three other fallen character sprites if you examine it from the other cardinal directions).
  • I somehow seem to have gotten stuck at ludicrous speed after using the Light Sword on Anirone's dad in said hallway.
  • Some sort of rendering issue happens where the map and sprites appear pitch black if you're on the Neutral Ending 1 route and you take the western exit from the right door hallway. I managed to fix it by using the key to the fantasy and using the teleport back into the bedroom.

Hopefully these are fixable and I'm not spoiling anything in particular by listing them here.

About whether or not anyone has gotten the Good Ending:
I've managed to get Bad Ending 1 and Neutral Ending 1, but even following the guide you uploaded as a blog entry seems to make it... well, you aren't prompted to throw your lamp if you aren't holding a Light Sword, which might be the issue? Unless there's some other way to get the yellow marble that doesn't involve the bomb, or some extra item that can open jars somewhere that I have yet to spot?

Alternatively, I guess it's possible that picking up the flower vase is a mistake during the time limit section when you're in your bedroom after throwing your lamp?

Okay! I'll find some time to write how to get all the endings.

I can't be sure of that since, as I've said above, I couldn't watch the complete ending because of a critical bug, but I'm pretty sure that I reached the good ending. If I'm right, the guide is wrong, indeed. The mistake that would prevent you to get the good ending would be
using the hammer to break the door.

If Goddialga can confirm that I was going to get the good ending, I can make a "true guide". If I'm wrong, feel free to shout me down. xD
