An amazing story, and original systems make this game awesome

Iron gaia, a somwwhat futurisctic, somewhat not game is something everyone here should play. Even though it was developed in 2002, the game is still one of the best of mcgee's gamez.
The storyline has a lot of surprises and has intricate depth. There are different endings. The characther developing is great; it's totally not your usual sword crazy hero, mage, thief, and healer combo, but something completely different. Plus, there's even some humor in the game.
The customizing is really insteresting, in the sense of playing with absence of menu's and etc. The skillset of each characther is highly varied, specially with the "Rage" skills. There are lots of battling though, and sometimes it gan get monotonous- But then again, the stroryline drives the player through it swiftly.
Mapping and graphics might be the worst. As some discussions go in the forum, Maps look a bit too large for their purposes, and sometimes a bit simple. Also personally, i never understood why some sprites looked way bigger than others. Take slade and alphus's sprite for example at the beggning. put them side to side with carter's and you'll notice the difference.

It's hard to rate the music. In one hand, The music is varied, bosses hace different tunes and all. In the other hand, i personally don't like most of the rock midis in the ganme. Even though i have the mp3 at my pc, listening to Metallica's enter sandman midi in a boss fight was a bit of a let down. But then again, that's just me.I'm sure many gamers will actually like this feature.

All in all, even with some small mistakes in grpahics, the storyline and customization make Iron gai an excellent game, to the point of driving me to write my first review.Right now it stands in the top 5 of my games.

P.S. if you want Iron Gaia 2, review this game, and also post in the forum, until the author takes on the project :P

I believe you said it all!

^^ still playing, still loving XD

The story, the plot! The unecessarily large maps, i don't like much of the lack of menu but.. ok... even the music!

Yes, Iron Gaia is a very flawed and well-loved game. Other games I have are less flawed and less loved. I don't understand it. Maybe I never will.
