Japanese Class

A thesis project made to see if a visual novel is fit to become a language learning tool. The visual novel itself requires the player to review lessons in order to proceed through the story. Depending on the results, the player can lead the main character to different endings.

The story of the visual novel takes place in a certain academy where the main character Tennouji Koutaro who is a japanese citizen that was born in a foreign country studies japanese for the first time. There he will meet a stubborn girl who is willing to change his life for the better....or for the worse.
