Yuusha EX - A Mid-September Sporadic Update

Well! It's been a fair while since I've really sat down and talked with ya'll about Yuusha EX. The short version is that even with a lot of big life changes like moving and starting a new job, things are coming along very well. I guess you can stop reading there, unless you'd like some juicy details.

Progress-wise, I've got about 3/4ths of the first major pass (of at least 2 or 3) at revising the main game completed. About 80% of the graphical assets have been redrawn, including nearly all of the tiles, monster graphics, sprites, and battlebacks. This has been by far the most time-consuming change, but it's mostly over and done with. Hooray!

The second big change you'll find in EX is that the combat has been completely reworked and rebalanced. By far the most common criticism of Brave Hero Yuusha was its low difficulty and that the game was more or less a cakewalk. While there won't be much in terms of new core battle mechanics, I'm hoping to make the combat a more satisfying challenge for newcomers and returning players alike.

Party members will also have new and revised abilities at their disposal. The Hero, for example, has a skill called Bravery that makes their next turn a leap of faith.

There's plenty more that I want to share about Yuusha EX, so I hope you'll sit tight for a bit longer while I get this bad boy up and running.
