This was a game I was working on prior to the IGMC entry Blacksword Chronicles. It's quite different from Blacksword as it is not so much story driven and is more of a simulation/management game. Give it a whirl, you may like it.

The current version 0.93 is an Open Beta version that is basically the complete game. I might make some minor adjustments to better balance the game but it is completable. Feel free to leave critiques and comments!

STORY
The Lost Pennisula, a paradise with an abundance of wealth and resources. Centuries ago a mysterious being from the beyond known only as the Tarot God drove out the humans on the Pennisula and conquered it. You play as the heir to the House Magus who has not a spark of the Gift, but is a brilliant tactician. You have been given the impossible task of retaking the Pennisula.

FEATURES
  • Recruit! Train! Go Questing! Build you own guild of mages from scratch.

  • Wield the White, Green, Blue, Red, and Black magics, each with its distinct strengths and weaknesses.

  • Each mage can use up to two of the five magics. Picking the right team is essential to success.

  • Completely randomized treasures, monsters, and mages. A new game every play.

  • Create your team of mages from more than 40 potential magic users.

@Armadi Thank you! Hope you are enjoying this game.

@ Hiromu656 and everyone. Just uploaded the update 0.92, it has a few minor fixes and game balance. Mainly, the Last Boss is now harder. It was somewhat too easy before. If you already downloaded just download the new ver and copy over your savefiles.

Well, how else could I make you guys pull your hair and gnash your teeth in frustration? :p

Seriously, the last boss only took me 3 tries to beat with a good team. So it's not too bad I don't think. Also there's so many possible teams in this game that maybe you'll come up with a team that will kick its butt super easily....theoretically.
Hi, I have problems in the SWAMP.
The path to the shrine (boss) is blocked by branches, I tried everything, but there's no way around them.

Protection isn't cast on the party but on the user.

Played as far as the STAR-quest. The riddle speaks of 3 not so wise men: Grass, Beasts and Hills of Red. What is the solution? The door just asks for a code.

@Firefly84 Thanks for playing! Regarding your questions:

1. For the Swamp: That IS a bug. Thank you for finding it! I have removed the branches and will now upload 0.93. However, the Swamp boss is a bonus boss that you do not have to beat to win. It will give you some extra experience and treasures to help you though.

2. Protection has been fixed. Thank you!

3. For the Star quest: The riddle refers to the three villagers who talk about numbers, their numbers make up the code:
- The Grass (Oleg next to the rows of crops)
- Beasts (Tom Tom near the cows)
- Hills of Red (Dingo near the red tents)

2. As a bonus, I will give the first 10 people who post here a steam key to the first paid Steam game Watermark RPG makes, which should be available sometime this decade. :p

Ok, honestly, my team has no idea when we'll be able to release a Steam RPG Maker game. BUT there are definitely plans to do so. It might be the Blacksword sequel or maybe something else. It'll be a gamble, but hey, if it does happen you'll get a free game!

But now I'm stuck near the end with the warp-puzzle to activate the brigde.
I even defeated the boss and activated the two switch, I think tried all possilities but I cannot make the brigde to the warp field under the pavillion appear without blocking my way. :(

All the switches and related bridges are shown here. The trick is that some switches are off, some are on, while some need to be first turned on then turned off.

@Firefly84 Yes, some switches have to be turned on and off. I ran it through once and updated the guide with the order that I used to solve the puzzle.
Sorry, the screenshot failed. Each time I press shift, the event goes on.
But could you make lifewind and life rain stronger?
With lower levels, lifewind heals around 20, with max level 80-120 HP too all,
Life rain 4-6x as lifewind.
My battle Team were Rodner, Bryer, Vaegon, Eyva, Cecil.
I choose Mages with two spells, when possible with white and green. I got two of the final scythes.
I will try the screenshot again with a special programm, but how do I insert it? There is no help for this on this forum.

Thank you for the suggestions! I will adjust them in the next update. Did you know that mages with only one type of magic are generally stronger or have special abilities? For example Yraerys the Red mage has dual wield.

I usually use PicPick to capture the images. As for images you will need to upload to an image website and link to it using the image button in the reply. Or you can just send the pic to our email: wmrpg.cs@gmail.com and I can put it up for you.

Didn't stop time, but I used the whole 120 days to learn as much spells as possible.

I just finished playing this game and it was so much fun *-*

but i just cheated once and checked here for the final boss bridges thingys hehe.. @.@
annd anyway here is the screen shot :D



I wanted to rest till the final day to learn more spells but I was impatient to go explore the final boss's place TuT
and somehow my team don't wanna learn new spells >.>

ah and the team I used was : Wren, Yraerys, Fradis, Movek and Harine

at first I wanted to have pure mages not mixed.. but then I got lazy.. and I started to like them ...

random thoughts
great start,i love the customization setup

the mapping by room is great but it utterly fails with consistency. just check out the mage room first floor then the church which is supposed to be 3 steps to the left (need to point this out)
i wont be accepting each room is its own dimension there would be no point in building the building if that was the case.

the castle mid right makes no sense. how do you open the top door? whats the point of all the red and green switches?

should be able to switch all assignments to the same thing with one command.

mirage pyramids design is too complicated

the Stasis skill says it paralyzes all enemies but only effects one

:(...i was hoping we would not be treated poorly and not have to go out of are way even more then we have already to fight the tarot god.
after all those battles and side things you still cant just fight him without having do do something? this is just wrong :/

This game was not what i was expecting.i was expecting to be a head mage or head of mages and not have to do mindless battles.
you were meant to raise your people to do it themselves.
sadly you still control them and fight lots of meaningless battles to get tot eh end of the game.

even ignoring that when you FINALLY get to the area where the main villain is you expect to be treated right and not have to go thru any more bs as you have just went thru. yet you get denied a respectable ending >.>
the plot is battles,the characters have no personality. the game play is dull.
honestly in a different direction this could of had potential.

love mindless battles? love time limits? love bs designs that needlessly prolong the game!?
