Aria’s Story is a horror RPG game made using RPG Maker VX Ace. The game is focused on exploration, story and puzzles. One of the main characteristics of the game is the contrast between cute and creepy. It is inspired by the Japanese horror game Ib.

-Story-

“Aria is a bookworm who loves adventure stories and always spends her free time in the library. One day she falls asleep while reading a book and when she wakes up the library is closed. Believing that they forgot to wake her up, she tries to find a way out… In that moment she becomes the protagonist of her own story.”

-Features-

Original Voices
Original Music
Multiple Endings

I am looking forward to the complete version of this game!!! I really like the graphics - plus I myself really like Ib and I like reading books, too! Especially fairy tale books - but I can't deal well with Economics and Mathematics books like her. Those are my two worst subjects... I also like the fact that the library was built like that - I love the library design!

When I try to Download this game, it says "could not open socket" after I press "authorize download" in the Mediafire thingy. Why could that be? :(

EDIT: Nevermind, got it to work. Will be providing feedback soon ^_^

EDIT 2: So, I played the demo, and it's lovely <3

The graphics are very well made, the main character is absolutely adorable ^_^. I like how the "gasps" and the laughs in the voice acting make her even cuter. The atmosphere set in the "cute side of things" is absolutely endearing, with lovely bunnies and nice people around, and when the actual game starts, it's great as well, really mysterious and beautiful.

I love the "narrator" character breaking the fourth wall, it was some nice comic relief, and she's also very cute.

Now, I had a pretty big problem with not being able to save before the first places where we could get a Game Over, which kinda threw me off a lot, having to start over so many times until I got the password right really annoyed me. I later discovered a book on the floor with a blue feather on top of it, which happened to be the save book. That would have been okay if there was any indication whatsoever that said book was the save book, but there was no way for me to know the first time around :(
Hi, completed the demo!

I think the biggest plus this game has so far despite adorable art-style is an interesting theme choice as well as nice representation of it. I especially like the idea of a small comfy library in he middle of forest, with trees and bunnies. It`s indeed the dream of every bookworm and also adds magic and fable to the atmosphere as well as reinforces the theme of stories and books.

The minus is use of cliche jumpscares, especially the one with "Do you want to play?" (or something like that) - this one has probably appeared in the majority of rpg maker horrors.
There was also small passability bug with banister near chairs on the second floor of library. I don`t know if anybody pointed that to you and haven`t managed to do screenshot, but if you need I can do one.

Good luck with further development!!!
I enjoyed the demo. I cannot wait for the full game to be released as I feel that this game will be phenomenal! Great job!
Looks very promising. Can't wait to see the finished release!
Thank you so much for all the comments!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it!
Yes, I think I should make the save point more noticeable... I'll add in the instructions that the save point is the blue feather ^o^

Going by 2 of the 4 thumbnails for this game, I guess that Aria is a person who doesn't like to read.

Nevertheless, I plan to download and play this as soon as possible.

I can't estimate a date yet! I want to finish it this year but if I couldn't, I would love to release it on April 23, the day of the book!

They game is currently 62% finished:

-Demo (Prologue) - 100% completed
-First Area - 100% completed
-Second Area - 100% completed
-Third Area - 65% completed**
-Fourth Area - 0% completed
-Fifth Area - 0% completed

**Third area is taking more time to be completed because it's bigger than the others!

Also, I'm doing this game in spanish so it will take some time to be translated in english.
I gonna try this game (downloading now)... can't wait for full game.... nice work!!!
