Happy Halloween!

Hello! TEETH here. Okay. So Candy Ballad isn't out (obviously). I'm going to stop giving out expected release dates to stop fulfilling you with false promises for a game that isn't ready yet.

So let's talk gamedev.

While I'm working on levels, what used to happen is that every time I would test play them, they seemed rather.... bland. It felt like I was just hitting a button and nothing was exciting. I guess this is to be expected since I'm no "experienced gamedev (yet)".

So what I've been doing is researching the hell out of what makes games have the perfect "game feel". What differentiates between me feeling like I'm hitting a button v.s. me not noticing the hours go by? What can I do to make sure my game isn't another Mighty No.9 where the graphics are nice but that's really all there is.

That's why this game is being delayed plus the fact that I'm prone to serious health problems. This game is turning into a little project that I thought I would complete in a month for the fun of it, to a serious years long game project that I'm working my hardest to make sure it's the funnest and most interesting I could make it.

So I guess that's all I wanted to say. See you later

(p.s. GDC has a lot of great speeches for game developers, but if I were to suggest one, it would be this one:

It's by the same person who made move or die and I think it has a lot of valuable information for gamedevs and worth a watch if you have the time.)

Progress Report

Has it been a while...

I'm sorry I haven't updated this page recently. CB is still in production don't worry! Also I'm switching from the VX Ace Arc Engine to Unity. A hopeful release or demo is expected this October.
