Generic RM2k3 RTP Gaming Fun!

I always wanted to make that game based on everything I enjoyed as a kid. This is the end result.

Hero's Realm creates a super-synergy of proactive features to create a gaming experience greater than the sum of its parts.

Lead four heroes and their teams against the evil forces of Mephistocles, the Lord of Demons in this retro-RPG adventure. Toggle between the four heroes as you explore dungeons, ascend towers, spelunk caves, save villages and defeat the forces of evil! Reminiscent of classic RPGs such as Dragon Quest III and Final Fantasy V, Hero's Realm is a fun romp in old-school RPG nostalgia.

-22 character classes (12 base classes, 4 hero classes, 3 secret classes, 3 master classes)
-TONS of game content and sidequests
-Classic NES-era and SNES-era RPG gameplay
-Great music
-Multi-party switching system (like Kefka's Tower in FFVI!)
-Multi-party tactical battles (at least 5 of them!)
-Massive world map
-Fun

The story is split into 5 chapters, with each of the first four chapters focusing on a new hero, and the 5th chapter bringing them all together.

Chapter 1: Won't Somebody Please Think of the Children?
Chapter 2: There is Something Fishy Going on...
Chapter 3: Land of the Rising Son
Chapter 4: True Calling
Chapter 5: The War on Terror

nevermind i havent read previous post carefoully, lol. But you can write locations of elfstones anyway :)
They are only available in chapter 5. There is a divination room in Arborlon that gives hints as to the locations of the elfstones.

But here they are anyway:

1. In the Pit of Peril (visible in Chapter 1)
- on an island just west of Norsland. There is a separate teleportal room in the Norsland Shrine locked by a magic door. After getting the Magic key, use the teleportal to get to the island.

2. In the Badon Crypt (visible in Chapter 2)
- in the abandoned village of Badon in the southeast tip of the desert there is a stone building locked by a magic door. After getting the Magic key, open the door and enter the crypt.

3. At the peak of Mt. Neverest (visible in Chapter 3)
- at the giant mountain near Okasa there is a large wall with a magic door. After getting the Magic key and sailing to Jomongu with the ship, open the door and ascend the mountain.

4. Atop the Tower on the Lake (visible in Chapter 4)
- in the center of the lake near Bombomb, there is an island with a tower on it. After getting the airship, pilot it to the island and ascend the tower.
okay, then i got them all by myself :) Now I have another q: Where should I go before Void of the World to get best/ultimate equipment?
Depends on your classes. I didn't make one standard set of "ultimate" equipment for every (because I tried to encourage experimentation), but there are definately some great equipment combos available end-game.

It'll take me a bit to collect the data. I'll post it once I have it.
Lightsabre - reward for finding 100 tiny medals. Equipable by most classes. Attacks x6 with a Magic attribute.
Falcon Blade - attacks x4. Can't recall where this is found, unfortunately.
Blade of Arborlon - reward for restoring Arborlon in Indhopal. Attacks x3. Equipable by all.
Jingu Bang - Found outside the walls of Hawksnest. Raj Ahtan's ultimate weapon. Attacks x3

Reaver - Found in a cabinet in the Guru's barracks in Hawksnest. Holdana's weapon with a high attack damage, but nothing else (I probably should have added more to it. Oh well)
Crystal Staff - Sold in Hawksnest. Good weapon for mages. INT +50

Sounds great, I only got 2003 on my laptop a couple of months ago. This game sounds perfect for me to play! It'll help me with 2003!

i sorta figured then i got lost and could not find the jail but hey i am at ch2 trying to find transform wand in some mountain temples wihch one is it in
It's in the last one you look in. There are 4 temples in total out there in the mountains. (I didn't make that very clear in game, sorry).
What's the time setting for getting into the Druid's house in Parvinder? I keep going over the clues from the various townspeoples and I just can't figure it out.
Spoiler, Highlight Text To Read Answer:

The time is 8:43. I can't recall all the hints that I gave in the town, but I know this is the answer.
Thank you very much, Kentona.

I've enjoyed this game immensely. I especially loved all the wacky mixed references to Terry Brook's and Akira Toriyama's works, and all the other stuff you snuck in there. Great game.
Oh, one more question: what goes on in New Game +? Are there special dungeons or battles one can gain access to, or is it more like Chrono Trigger where you can gain access to alternate endings or something like that?
I don't know if anyone else has ever run into this error, but when I was in the fifth chapter, after clearing the desert and having either five or four of the relics, The desert music messed up and I heard it no matter where I was. I even tried to open your game through rpg maker 2003 and i couldn't fix it
New Game + is simply the same game except that you get to keep your levels and classes and equipment. Nothing too special.

@Warrior88: Dang. There's some switches that need to be turned on and off (that control the worldmap music). I can't recall where there are at the moment (somewhere around the 700s) but it will be like CHAPTER_5 and DESERT STORM and END GAME. CHAPTER_5 needs to be turned on, and DESERT_whatever needs to be off. Press F9 ingame to see the debug switch/variable menues.
Hi Kentona,
Great game, I just started playing and I find it addictive. The music is great but when I'm just EXP building I like to turn off the BGM and listen to my own MP3s. I can't seem to find the game settings window. Is there any way to turn off the BGM and ME?
Thanks,
^_°
Well, the easiest way to do that is to open your Volume Control in Windows and mute the SW Synth volume. That will prevent all the MIDIs from playing on your entire machine. Then start up your WinAmp or whatever and play your MP3s and you should be good to go.
Great suggestion! Thanks again for making such a brilliant game!
Cheers,
