Generic RM2k3 RTP Gaming Fun!

I always wanted to make that game based on everything I enjoyed as a kid. This is the end result.

Hero's Realm creates a super-synergy of proactive features to create a gaming experience greater than the sum of its parts.

Lead four heroes and their teams against the evil forces of Mephistocles, the Lord of Demons in this retro-RPG adventure. Toggle between the four heroes as you explore dungeons, ascend towers, spelunk caves, save villages and defeat the forces of evil! Reminiscent of classic RPGs such as Dragon Quest III and Final Fantasy V, Hero's Realm is a fun romp in old-school RPG nostalgia.

-22 character classes (12 base classes, 4 hero classes, 3 secret classes, 3 master classes)
-TONS of game content and sidequests
-Classic NES-era and SNES-era RPG gameplay
-Great music
-Multi-party switching system (like Kefka's Tower in FFVI!)
-Multi-party tactical battles (at least 5 of them!)
-Massive world map
-Fun

The story is split into 5 chapters, with each of the first four chapters focusing on a new hero, and the 5th chapter bringing them all together.

Chapter 1: Won't Somebody Please Think of the Children?
Chapter 2: There is Something Fishy Going on...
Chapter 3: Land of the Rising Son
Chapter 4: True Calling
Chapter 5: The War on Terror

Okay, thanks.
And yeah... that was really not obvious.
I would say It's more of a dungeon then a jail..>_>
I just got to Chapter 5, where all four parties join together, and I have to say that making it so all parties level up at the same time was an incredibly smart decision. I was getting all ready to have to level each party up individually, and then like eight party members leveled up at the same time and gained a ridiculous number of skills.

"I love this game," I thought. Then I kept playing.
Thanks!

if I recall correctly, I think that the non-active teams gain 50% of the EXP the active team gets. So it's still a good idea to play with all the parties as you go along, but the EXP sharing means you don't have to putz around grinding.
so i was going to do a full review of this game, but a review i did for another game was disallowed under the reason of "lacks profesionalism" so i'm not going there again. i'll just say killer game lennon loved it.
You could post your thoughts in a comment. I'd love to read them.
This game is truly amazing. One question: I have visited all the dungeons in the north in Chapter 2 and still can't find any cure for the animal transformation thing. Help?
There are 4 catacombs in the northern mountains. The last one you visit and the last 'big" chest you open should trigger a boss battle, after which you will find the Staff of Transform.

If you have opened all 4 chests and still don't have the staff, send me your savefile and I can check it out.
I hated that part.. kept dying.. >_>

How do u play the game!!!!!!!!!!

People ask that a lot..
I'm kinda stuck in part 4. I don't know how to get into the desert without teleporting back into town.
The sultan gives me a deal to retrieve the magic lamp, but whenever I talk to him again, he reissue me the deal. Does this have anything to do with why I'm stuck?
You want to head to the eastern town of Larak, which is in th east. Head right into the jungles of Indhopal and seek out the town.
K, thanks. I initially thought the cave of wonders was in the desert...

Also, I encountered a bug. I was fighting a group of 3 xboxes in the ice part of the Cave of Wonders when it happened. A dialogue box popped up that said something along the line of, "the game tried to reference a script that did not exist" and terminated the game. Dunno much about rm2k3, but hopefully this will give you a clue as to what went wrong.
lol at above comment.

Also... Jesters can serious kiss my ass.

EDIT: OMG, that particular group just gave me a game over...
I'm going to cry in that damp corner there now.
One of these days I will play through this game again and rebalance a few things.
There was only two instances when I had significant trouble in this game. Once during the tournament in part 3, and once in the scene above. Both had to do with status and being unable to move while helplessly watching my characters drop dead.

Othewise, your game is balanced to hell, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
The jesters were pretty hard to beat :/
I actually downloaded this game along time ago and got very far (up to chapter 5 near the trashed town where you have the weird clock thing) but about a week later lost my save file because my comp messed up on me. Will have to re-download this at some point just to complete it.. and do a good review :)
