Generic RM2k3 RTP Gaming Fun!

I always wanted to make that game based on everything I enjoyed as a kid. This is the end result.

Hero's Realm creates a super-synergy of proactive features to create a gaming experience greater than the sum of its parts.

Lead four heroes and their teams against the evil forces of Mephistocles, the Lord of Demons in this retro-RPG adventure. Toggle between the four heroes as you explore dungeons, ascend towers, spelunk caves, save villages and defeat the forces of evil! Reminiscent of classic RPGs such as Dragon Quest III and Final Fantasy V, Hero's Realm is a fun romp in old-school RPG nostalgia.

-22 character classes (12 base classes, 4 hero classes, 3 secret classes, 3 master classes)
-TONS of game content and sidequests
-Classic NES-era and SNES-era RPG gameplay
-Great music
-Multi-party switching system (like Kefka's Tower in FFVI!)
-Multi-party tactical battles (at least 5 of them!)
-Massive world map
-Fun

The story is split into 5 chapters, with each of the first four chapters focusing on a new hero, and the 5th chapter bringing them all together.

Chapter 1: Won't Somebody Please Think of the Children?
Chapter 2: There is Something Fishy Going on...
Chapter 3: Land of the Rising Son
Chapter 4: True Calling
Chapter 5: The War on Terror

Yes. I'll find out when I finish this dungeon. Thanks

They are both cursed, but I don't recall what their particular curses are. Permanent Slow sure does sound like something I'd do as a curse, though!

Did you take care of the undead uprising in Okasa? There is a bonewall blocking the rivers leading into Oz. You can crumble the walls by dealing with the undead in nearby Okasa
Is there a mode so that i can make it easy? I'm still on chapter 1 and im having a hard time earning gold to purchase weapons and armor for my party. Therefore i cant progress into the game huhu. Help pls? I really love your game anyway! even though i just started it <3

no, there isn't any sort of difficulty setting. The game is pretty static. As it was with most old time RPGs, the "difficulty" was controlled by how much you were willing to grind for gold and EXP! It is what it is, for better or worse.

Ohhh thanks so much for clearing it up! Guess i just have to be patient. Thanks again! I love your game! Kudos!
This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I've played this, and have never had a problem. This time however, I'm getting a game crash.

It happens when I go to leave the Waiting Room in Paranor to have the split party fight to defend the Child of Light. On going to the stairs I get
Map0837.lmu cannot be opened

I have tried downloading the game again in case my copy was somehow corrupted, and picked up from a save file immediately before going to Paranor. Once again, I can get into the city and then into the Grand Hall followed by the Waiting Room and the dialogue about needing to protect the Child of Light, but when I go to leave, I still get the error message. I have checked in the game folder and map 0837 is shown as being there.

Any idea what might be happening?
Thanks

Not off the top of my head...

I'd have to get the save file and inspect it to have a guess at what might be happening. Even then...
I have uploaded 2 files to my locker.
Save 15 is in the Waiting Room, so all you have to do is to try and exit up the stairs.
Save 8 (if you need it) is before the party flies to Paranor and enters the city.

Thank you.

okay, I tried save15 and it worked fine for me. No errors. I have completed the mission (since you said you've played the game before - it is the group battle vs. Urok and his minions) and saved it after exiting the camp.

I have also copied my copy of map 837:

https://rpgmaker.net/users/kentona/locker/Map0837.lmu

Now, maybe the file is ready only somehow on your end? Can you right-click on it and check it's properties to see if it is checked as Read-Only? I will continue to try to investigate, but if nothing else, at least I was able to get past it for you with my version of the save file.
Although the map was not checked as read-only, somehow the map itself must have been the problem, because I copied your map into the folder and then my save file worked perfectly.

Thank you very much for your help with this.
Hello from italy!! I just started the game and i'm really excited! Anyway i have a very stupid problem: why can't I save?? in the menĂ¹ the "save" options is grey, unclickable and i'm feeling a real Noob asking you help about this! XD
Hmmm, you should be able to save on the worldmap, or at save points. (I was trying to emulate "old school" games, for better or worse). So some areas (like towns or caves or dungeons) do not allow saving.

Is this maybe the case for you?
